Same here but honestly there are too many reporting wifi issues for Apple to release this version as final.. A Poll here is reporting a 50-50 split for wifi problems and no wifi problems, which obviously at face value seems a bit high, but even if it turns out to be only 15 to 20% with wifi problems that is just too many.. I think it would be unwise for Apple to inflict glitches and dissatisfaction into it's iPad market, especially to new customers who will return it and jump on one of the new Tablets competitors will be releasing.

yea but the poll isn't really a fair report of people that have it as many on the forum would just ignore that thread if they didn't have an issue

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

It is not always the same. Look at ios 4.0 gm.

To be fair, what you're talking about was the "4.0 Gold Master Candidate" it was one of the possible builds that could be used for a GM build. It was always labeled "Candidate", people just loaded it up out of impatience (me included)...and to be fair, it was like one build number off....in my experience 3.0, 3.1, 4.0 (clearly labeled GM) and 4.1 have all been identical builds.

I've had 4.2 GM on iPhone 4 and iPad since it came out, and I have no wifi problems on either with linksys routers.

Does 4.2 for iPad support iPhone 4, retina display apps? Or still with the scaling up of the lower quality?
