Would any current Android/WP/Blackberry users be tempted by a 4.7" iPhone?

I'd definitely be tempted but I'd still come back to Android because as an OS Android fits my needs a lot better than iOS. Its not just about the screen size for me anymore.

Tempted... Slightly.

However I've been using 5" or larger smartphones for the last year. Yesterday I took my iPhone 5S with me instead of my Nexus 5, WOW... Did it feel tiny.

I'm hoping Apple goes 5" or larger, (I also have a Galaxy Note 3) if they do I'm buying immediately. I like carrying two phones. One Android & one iPhone. That satisfies my need for variety and enables me to stay current with both platforms.

2 things are keeping me on Android: Screen size and default apps. If Apple addresses these two issues, I would switch in a heartbeat. Android certainly isn't winning me over with design consistency ;)

I would have been tempted a few months ago, but the iPhone 6 would have to be miraculous for me to consider it now.

Well, I've always had iPhones but passed on the iPhone 5s and got an Android device. I could see myself switching back to an iPhone 6 with a larger screen, but one thing that would hold me back is price. I'm not on a contract, I'm on Straight Talk. So, I would have to pay over $600 for the iPhone 6 and I don't see myself ever paying that much for a smartphone. Goodness no!

I'll get one if it has SD card support, has a removable battery and runs Kit Kat.

I'd say that many consumers may take a second look or compare it with the larger android phones, but many techie folks would choose their phone based on platform and how that platform meets their needs.

Putting on my moderator hat, I added a poll since this is a good question and seeing poll numbers may be interesting.

Android 4.* is more consistent than iOS 7.

Honestly I would. I have a iPad mini (where I think iOS works the best) and damn I love the quality and abundance of apps. If a jailbreak was readily available and a much bigger screen implemented, I'd jump to a iPhone immediately.

But all those people that have been clamoring how the iPhone is perfect at 3.99" cause it can be used with one hand would then have to find a new slogan? wink wink

I'd hazard a guess that Apple would continue with multiple size options going forward, at least initially. They'd be able to hang onto that mantra for a touch longer. ;)
