I occasionally use it to make a phone call, I haven't used it for other purposes. It always works perfectly. It's a lot better than the voice recognition in my car. :D

I have a 3G, but my bf who has the 3GS uses it all the time--he only has use of one arm so he doesn't have to set the phone down to find a contact.

I just got a Motorola T505 for my car. Since having it, i do use the Voice Control over bluetooth and I like it. I have a dock in my car that I use for audio and now since i have the bluetooth device, I never really have to touch my iPhone once I have an album playing. It's really good, but not perfect.

all the time

cycling when i have headphones in and cant reach my phone.

driving when i shouldnt be reaching my phone.

laziness

one of my favourite features

I use it and its especially useful when you are driving or can't look down on your iphone and just want to play a song. Yes accuracy can be hard for certain tough to pronounce names, words, and bands, but they is nothing like walking down a flight of stairs or backing up your car and saying "play songs by rolling stones" or "play songs by rise against" and it starts playing.

I use voice control all the time for dialing while driving (with handsfree, of course). It is nearly 100% accurate, as long as I say the name right, and it makes my calling so much safer.

I do not use it to control my music playback.

I just wish it had time telling capabilities.

User: "What time is it?" Iphone: "It is now 1:38 pm"

I also wish you could play your general music and no specific paylists or artist/album

something like "play all music" or "play music library"

kind of defeats the purpose of VC if you have to dig into your pocket to have it play all of your music after playing certain playlists or artists.

Still a nice feature though

Why don't you just make a smart playlist of your whole library?

I don't use it on a daily basis, but out of the 5 or so times I actually have, it's been 100% accurate for me.

I use it while driving with bluetooth. Very nice to change the music or call someone.

I usually use it when I need to call someone while listening to music since my phone's in my pocket, other than that, not so much.

I've to wake up people in the morning and than I just call them, but in the morning I'm also very lazy so than I just use voice control. Also use it when my iPhone is in my pocket while listening to music.

I use it while driving since you cannot do that in cali anymore. So that helps. but the rest commands never work. THe real question is does anyone use spotlight . I never ever do.

If you have a lot of apps, spotlight is a great way to open apps without having to flip through page after page. I have my home button double-tap set to spotlight, actually. Very useful, I don't think a day goes by that I don't use it.

I also use voice control on occasion. It's useful when... just see others' posts, nothing new to add there. I'd like to see it developed further- play genres, open apps, search the web, etc. And like others, I find it overall to be pretty accurate. FYI for those who don't know, in noisy environments, you can get more accurate results by speaking directly and very close into into the mic.

I use mine whenever I am making a call from the road. I have found it to be very accurate and useful.

Same here. I also use it to play my favourite playlists when my iPhone is in my bag. I find it to be fairly accurate, too. To call people with complicated names, you can always give them easy nicknames. :)
