Tells you in text.
Install "DebianUtils" then re-install Cydia.

If you are trying to restore this after you deleted it, it will likely result in a corrupted database.

All sorted now have a fresh new cydia
I jailbroke my cousins ipod touch and copied all cydia folders over with ifunbox now working fully

Easier way the installer didnt work for me so above way worked

Stuck without cydia

Hi all

I know its an old thread but I've been through several times and tried thelatinist method (2nd one Nike+)
Still no good....Terminal is on springboard but just flashes once when selected.

I have an iphone 4s on 5.1.1 jailbroken with Absinthe

I have SHSH Blobs 5.0.1/5.1/5.11 on Cydia....so my question to dhlizard really is should I do DFU mode and point at 5.1.1 IPSW?

Set up as new and then rejailbreak once cleared..

Or is this too late with 6.0.2 out ( Apple signing etc )

I would love to get Cydia back

Hope this makes sense

I have Mobile Terminal installed and i had deleted Cydia but now when i place cydia.deb in phone/var/stash/
It gives error saying "error processing file".
What is wrong and can anyone specify the root folder? :(

a deb is not an app.

never delete cydia that way, it always causes problems.

you can install debs with ifile.

also you can put it in private/var/root/Cydia/AutoInstall and restart the device. Mind the second Capital in AutoInstall, also you migt have to create the Cydia and AutoInstall directories

You're putting it in the wrong place if you're trying to follow my instructions. The root folder is /. Put the file there using iFunBox and then:

1. Open MobileTerminal and login as the root user by typing login root and entering the root password when prompted. The default password is alpine.

2. Enter the following command exactly: dpkg -i cydia_1.1.6_iphoneos-arm.deb

3. Close MobileTerminal. Respring your iPhone.

4. You should now have Cydia on your springboard![/QUOTE]

Its just that Installous wasn't working as i didn't knew hackulo.us was over. :(
And i thought the NetDB error and other Cydia errors will be resolved by reinstalling. :D
