Does anyone have the old iPod Classic prices? UK if possible.....
Oh and the new Nano is SEXY! Best looking Apple product for a while.

Why are they dropping capacity on the classic? I was hoping for a modest increase to 180gb or 200gb. Pressure from record companies? Hmmm.
Oh yes!The record companies said 120gb is fine, but 160 is just TOO much! Then Apple caved to them like they always do.*sarcasm*
From what they said there is just one model now,the 160 was the slower seller(lots of stores don't carry the 160)so they split the difference.Do you have a FULL 160??
Shake/shuffle probably optional in settings...
From the manual:Or disabled by the hold switch.
To disable shaking:
Choose Settings > Playback > Shake and select Off.
To turn shaking on again, choose Settings > Playback > Shake, and then select On.
Shaking is also disabled when the Hold switch is in the HOLD position, or if the display
is off. If iPod nano is off, you cant turn it on by shaking it.

Is it just me, or should Apple have slapped a black click wheel on the orange Nano? I mean, that would be HOT.
You've got my vote.
I agree. Oh well, just wait for Colorware PC to start offering custom paint jobs on the new nano.![]()

EDIT: Ditto for the yellow Nano.
Lossless is fine for archival purposes, but it's pointless for use on an iPod. Tests have shown that AAC is transparent at 192k, so just use that. Or if you want to go insane, you could use 256k. Either way, you can fit a lot of music into 16GB.
Could be annoying for joggers.![]()
I am curious about the voice recording function. Are nanos gonna come with the headphones that have the microphone built-in or is that only part of that $79 headphones they will start selling in October?
shake gently to shuffle; drop on the floor to void your warranty![]()
I just ordered the 120GB Classic. Does anyone know if the HDD is faster in this than the previous generation? I hated how choppy and slow the UI was in the last gens. I'm really hoping they fixed that.
