Hey everyone, I recently bought a used 2010 mac pro to upgrade and use for work.

New Specs are

- RX580 8 BRAM
- 512 GB SSD
- 32 GB RAM

What power cables are you using ?

What brand is the RX 580 8gb ? Sapphire Pulse ? MSI Armor ? XFX etc.

Hey, so I got the Mac pro to work, installed high sierra and the rx580 and all works now,and I checked the model of the cinema display and it is indeed the thunderbolt one. Is it possible to get a thunder bolt to firewire adapter or some other way to connect the rx580 to the thunderbolt display?
Hey MXMV I have a similar system with a Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 system was running fine but ran into some permission issues on my SSD and had to reinstall Mojave. Got a weird error on the reinstall that it couldn't reinstall Mojave and tried to reboot back into the recovery and now getting no signal to my 4k monitor. It turns on fine but no signal at all to the monitor with HDMI or DP. Unfortunately don't have an original apple gpu and managed to create a Mojave USB boot installer but no signal. How did you fix the no signal issue?

For RX580, make sure you disconnect all monitors but only leave one connected (prefer via DP without any adaptor). Otherwise, the graphic card may not able to display anything in recovery partition / USB installer.

Thanks for the reply.

I only have one 4k monitor connected running a HDMI to DP cable on the RX580. It boots up fine but zero signal to the monitor, I've never had this issue so I'm stumped on this. I am using a wireless apple magic keyboard I've tried holding down the option key to selected the boot installed and tried command R for recovery but can't see anything. Would using a wired keyboard make a difference? I'm lost on how to reinstall Mojave and get my signal back to the monitor any help is greatly appreciated in advance.
