love it! I also considered a single but thicker radiator but decided to go with the dual fan radiator for obvious reasons.

Absolutely awesome man! I love the space gray color scheme. I am not as far as you guys, but I installed a new eye candy mod today. It's a brand new custom plexiglass door to make the Vega7 more visible. Precision engineering as its finest, straight from Berlin. The question remains, should I stick a black or white Apple sticker in the middle or no sticker at all? What would you do, and would it be too much for those LED light strips and LED fired Ram heatsinks.

Absolutely love your build, I have a dual cpu 5,1 with a Vega Frontier on the way that has an aftermarket cooling block installed, I'm looking to do a pixlas mod and installing the frontier however I'm pretty ignorant to what else i'd need to properly run the GPU. I've seen others run a 120m radiator in front of the PCI fan, do I also need to buy an external pump and or reservoir? I'd like to overclock the frontier a bit and maximize performance, I just dont know exactly where to begin parts wise. Any advice? Thanks so much in advance.

I can do, if anyone likes the end result.

In other news the fan arrived today so I can finish off. lets hope I have a print starting tomorrow.
Hi there, great work! Just wondering if you'd mind linking to the 3D print file for the northbridge fan shroud? I'm interested in making the same modification, as I'm sure are others.

Hey guys, completely new and just signed up :D

I’m trying to tackle this project now, and this is the only post/forum on the internet I’ve found where you guys pulled it off. Everywhere else just calls me crazy for even thinking about watercooling.

I’ve got a pretty good idea of the system I want to use because of the great information provided here, I just had a question about the thermal sensors.

do you have to use the original Apple sensors or would an aftermarket option possibly work?

I would love to use alphacool Eiszapfen thermal sensors, as they would screw perfectly into the alphacool CPU waterblock’s fill holes. I’m just not certain if the 5.1 board would be able to utilize this form of temperature sensing.

Since I scored big time for my Vega VII sale, I decided to join the watercooling party. Finally I have my dual boot system back. I have water cooled my MVC 580 / 8Gig Puls card with a handy corsair AIO solution With full GPU onboard power routing. This way I didn’t need any sata power for fan or pump. Catalina & Win10 with Bootcamp and boot screen. The included fans have been upgraded with ultra silent noctua fans. I am really happy now.

glad everyone is loving this, I’ve now moved onto the 2013 Mac Pro..... always loved the trash can.

No i wont be watercooling it! Ha ha

Re the temp sensors, you would have to go all in with an external fan/temp kit or just use the standard apple. A hybrid wont work.

the only fan plug i found that could be not connected is the gpu fan module, all others must have something plugged in to stop the mac from blasting all fans full blast on boot.
