Where in the UK? I’m on EE in a 5G SA area and I get 4G
I am in the UK, southern England and EE told me that 5G wasn't available when I activated my watch the other day. I beg to differ lol....

Was it a watch purchased via EE? Have you previously had a watch and just switched the data plan or was it a new data plan?

Wondering if switched plans or watches not purchased from EE don’t work for 5G or if they just haven’t got 5G Redcap on all masts.

Bought the watch from Apple - long story with the plan, but the essence of it is a new plan that is included with my new iPhone Full Works SIM only plan that I just upgraded to. (I used to pay for standalone watch plan)

Ditto. Seems to be largely an AT&T issue. I can't figure out if this press release is exaggerating with the coverage in their build out, or if we should be focusing on this phrase "As we continue expanding the 5G RedCap network and ecosystem..." and we need to wait for the expansion.
