Mine has no imbalance. And to be honest, from watching the video I can't escape the impression that there's some bias involved. I'll take other reviews over this one.
As mentioned before, it’s called panel lottery. Some will suck and some will be excellent. As mentioned before, the ProArts I got (not the 6K) had terrible backlight bleed.

I've been using the ProArt 6K - I'm OK witih the blacks not being OLED-dark and the 60Hz - I'm in it for the clarity and real estate.

IMO - the HiDPI modes are pretty spectacular. I do see Pro/Max chips can natively drive higher resolutions a bit more clearly than your garden M chip (M3 s M3Pro in my case) - but overall, +200PPI is great for a 32" monitor.

Any complaints or hiccups with your Asus 32" 6K display?

With the release of the iPad Pro M5 & MBP M5 I am willing to delay purchase for when the Mac mini M5 is shipped within the next 6 months.

Displays I am using are

- 2012 iMac 27"
- 2016 LG B6 65" 4K TV
- 2018 iPad Pro 11"
- 2019 MBP 16"
- 2024 iPhone 16 Pro Max
- 2024 Watch Series 10 46mm

32" 8K 60hz display
Mini-LED and 1200 nits peak / 1000 nits sustained too. I wonder how much this one is gonna cost. o_O Also HLG. Is this for broadcast TV video editing or something?

I also wonder what resolution options will be allowed for this one on macOS. 2X scaling would make everything look small.

Perhaps the initial price indication from a few months ago wasn't a joke after all, suggesting that the device would cost around US$ 8,000.

That's the main question here. Non-integer scaling would look awful even with 275 PPI. But I guess that would be 6K HiDPI on macOS.

unfortunately, since macOS supports only 1x and 2x scaling, such monitors are not for mac users.
8K on 32" needs to be scaled either as 2560x1440 (3x integer) or 3072x1728 (2.5x non-integer or 3x integer with downscaling). Neither of those are supported by macOS (it generally doesn't support 3x scaling at all).

If Apple made a 8K (7680 × 4320) display maintained 218 ppi (Retina) it would measure ≈ 40.2 inches diagonally.

Without stand it would be physically wider than 90cm & taller than 51cm.

Looking to picking one up a decade from now for under $2k in 2035 money.

Yep, but you were the one mentioning if apple made a 8k monitor, I was just adding to that thought ;)
I was referencing the 218 ppi.

32" 8K is higher than retina.

I was wondering if a 40" 8K display will fit my 85cm wide computer table.

Will find out by 2035 when "Thunderbolt 6" is considered "old" so 8K @ 700Hz is considered top-end.

It seems both Asus and LG have serious QC problems. The first Asus had horrible backlight bleed, and so it was returned. The second still has a little bit of backlight bleed, but it's focal enough that it doesn't bother him, and otherwise the monitor is good. The LG has zero backlight bleed, but has a strange distracting blue tint in some areas, so it's going to get sent back too. However, he's had some difficulty dealing with LG USA customer support.

Review of the Asus ProArt PA32QCV 6K monitor.

Measured using SpyderX Pro

100% sRGB
100% DCI-P3 (even though Asus only claims 98%)
88% AdobeRGB

Gamma 2.2 setting was a bit off at 2.3

480 nits
Contrast 1450:1

Delta E - 0.72, max 1.50

He said it was very good for colour grading and was happy to use the PA32QCV 6K for that, but he preferred the image of the PA32UCDM 4K OLED overall for colour work. However, the OLED has a fan which can get audible. The 6K has no audible fan. (Ed note: I'm not sure if there is a fan or not.) Both monitors can get kinda hot.
