They have diagnostics for the current state of the device, so if you reset (like you did), they won't be able to check previous results. You could show them those screenshots if they need more proof. Good luck! :)
I think they can also see the actual capacity of the battery which may be another avenue

Yeah, I've had a battery issue before. Their little diagnostics tool shows the usage in an hour-by-hour line graph. They can also check the health of the battery. It's pretty interesting.

That seems somewhat on the lower side for a 6s Plus--it's more or less average for a 6 or maybe a 6s.
I have a lot of my notifications off too and background app refresh off ..after seeing other people battery life I'm starting to question it myself

That's absurd. You haven't used your phone for 8 hours, so many of your apps are running ridiculously long in the background.

I am currently having an issue with snapchat going in the background, over the past 6 days it's been 3 hours in background. I can barely get 5 hours of use from my iPhone 6.

Anyway, your plus is defective. Take it back and get a new one.

And the thing with signal strength, that isn't an issue if you have 2 bars. Low signal starts occurring if you are at No Service, occasionally grabbing a bar but dropping back off. My whole house has -120 to -110DBM of LTE yet I hardly ever get low signal in battery usage. It still probably plays a roll in the drain, but I still got 6-7 hours (before snapchat started acting up)

I've been using my iPhone all day. That's just the bottom portion of the app list with the usage time. There was stuff above this and likewise I have background app refresh turned off.

My phone is not defective and I have very good battery ... Not sure why you think otherwise.

Snapchat, Facebook, Kik etc are some of the biggest offenders of the background activity- notoriously using Apple APIs (like VOIP) to keep the app in the background longer than Apple allows apps to do.

After dropping those apps from my phone I have nothing over about 30 min background activity and battery is significantly better. When the apps are coded better/per the rules to not drain batteries I may consider them again.

No offense, but I'm also questioning almost 8 hours of Usage with 67% battery life. Those are unheard of results. Not saying your phone is defective, but those results are very far off the charts. If be curious to know what apps are running on your device throughout the day that led to almost 8 hours of 'Usage' which is supposed to mean actual on-screen time, of background activity. Either way, that's the best battery life on any iPhone I've ever seen...and I work with hundreds of them! What's your secret! :)

"Usage" is not on-screen time, it's the time the device is doing something, even if the screen is off.

Yeah I agree with the other person who commented on your 8 hours at 67%. I'm not saying your battery is bad or defective, I just feel that all those background activity apps are contributing to your "Usage" time more than you actually using your phone. Thus, extremely high usage times and little drain.

Anyway, just what I was sort of thinking. Not trying to be hostile or anything. Sorry that I was before.

Quick check-in: Visited the Apple store, explained my experience in detail. Showed the screenshots - the battery tested as normal according to their diagnostics tool. Showed how the battery had plummeted with minimal usage since the DFU Restore - the genius said, "you literally have done the three things I'm supposed to tell you to do. Let's get you a new phone." New phone (despite a Samsung chip) is running much better in the battery life department.

Thanks, guys!

Awesome! Show us the battery life of the new phone once you get a chance! :) I'm sure it will be a lot better, no idea what could have been wrong with your other phone if it wasn't the battery..

Right...I meant to say 'on screen time, or background time'...regardless...that's a super high usage number at that battery level.

If you're not web browsing, watching video or gaming then the 6s plus will last forever. It's practically impossible to kill it in a day unless you are doing at least one of these.

We can't see the top of his usage screen, so no idea what he's doing the most of, but I'd wager he doesn't do any gaming, web browsing or video watching on his phone.

I do a lot of all three and occasions kill my 6s plus hours before I go to bed.
