I've had my 7 Plus for a month now and I've continued to have issues. First, cellular service, which was fixed with 10.0.3. Then the dropped frames in iOS 10. Now my bottom speaker does not work. I know these aren't HUGE issues but if you're paying $850 for a phone, it better be damn near perfect. Its as if Apple rushed these to the market as well, even though there isn't a whole lot different with this phone. Now I'm considering returning the device and get a 6S Plus... What do you guys think?

Any one of those issues would warrant a return. Return it.

Wait a few months until the kinks are worked out and order another. Skip the 6S Plus at this point.

Your fault for buying a release date phone when the chances of a defective phone are way higher. I feel no sympathy. (And ALL manufacturers rush out Phones for launch day instead of taking their time and yall are aware of this) so don't complain.

you know there's only 1 speaker at the bottom, right?

also seems like software issues rather than hardware. wait till 10.1 this week and most issues should be corrected.

I think you need to do what ever makes you happy. You are getting way past the 14 day grace period so how do you propose to return the device for a 6S?

Could not be more happy with my 7+!

Depending on where the OP is but if it's past 14 days, you can't return it and more likely you will have to do a warranty replacement.

Just had to vent haha. Yes I know the risks of getting a phone around launch date (mine was a week after btw) but I've never had issues with launch day phones honestly - just this one. I didn't think about getting a replacement until the speaker issue arose and I don't even know how long its been an issue since I noticed it yesterday. The other issues I know are fixed or will be fixed pending an update but this is clearly a hardware issue. I don't think I got a lemon. I'm fine with a replacement because I don't want to downgrade to another device. I have scheduled an appt at an Apple Store and will see what they say.

It's part of the territory of buying a new piece of electronics at launch. It's just like buying a first model year car. You KNOW there will be slight hiccups.

I tend to wait when it comes to new product launches. I usually upgrade in the third or fourth week after the initial launch.

Chill. He was just excited for the new phone and got let down.

Who said I was angry? It's just dumb seeing these types of posts KNOWING your chance of a faulty device is higher when you decide to purchase the early batches of ANY phone. I'm playing with this wheel bug, so calming~

Stop being reasonable. I say we toss him into a fire pit for his ridiculous decision to buy a new phone.

He's not being reasonable.. /shrug y'all don't pay me enough to be nice...especially on my bday

I first had a Matte Black 7+ and used it for 28 days before Apple let me trade it for a Jet Black model.

Zero issues with both handsets. *shrug*

Other than the fact that I reside in Singapore and my matte black 7 Plus has the ****** Intel modem AND it's the 32GB model with ultra-slow storage, AND it's a damn near launch date batch...it's an absolute peach.

give me one example of anything that was a first batch issue that has been fixed in subsequent batches of any apple iphone release

I've seen quiet week 38s that do not hiss, I've seen noisy weeks 41s if u want to use a current example.

His speaker not working could have happened at anytime including the last day of the product cycle...

You do know that example does NOTHING (6s plus home button issue/casing issue(bendgate?)/battery issue?)?

Your rebuttal has no importance because I never said ALL phones in the first batches are faulty I said your chances of a more faulty device run higher (nor did I say super high either...these assumptions will be the death of men).

My bae has a first day 7+ with 0 issues and I have a week 42 jet black 7+ with hissing/no front casing issues but has a dent from defect. Everyone with knowledge above a 5th grade education should know you can get a faulty device anytime but the chances are higher when you know...things are rushed and workers pushed beyond their limits.

I've had launch day phones since iPhone 3g-4-5-6-7. I really don't understand all the big issues but I've never had problems with my phones. Am i lucky?

Just newly signed up to this forum to reply to this thread. Been as an iphone user just for 3 years, from 5c, 5s, 6s and now 7.

I have to say getting a perfect 7 is really a lottery-winning thing. This is my 4th 7 and all of the 4 phones had this or that problems.

1st one had a very yellow and uneven screen, and of course dim. 2nd one and 3rd one with yellow and dim screen, and I could tell these two phones are very likely refurbished ones from the details on the body of the phones - dust under screen protector and in the screen gap and even some sticky dirt on the up left corner of the screen and some weird color seemed to caused by oily fingers on the back...

The 4th is a brand new one I can be sure, of couse still yellow screen, but I can accept that since it's almost even. When I thought things can finally come to a happy end, the battery problem sprung out...

It's been so exhausting and money/time wasting playing this iphone 7 lottery.

I agree that apple delivers good after-sale service and ios system is the best mobile operating system amongst all, but the hardware issue is just a disaster.
