Also because I got it from target I didn’t have to turn in my 8 plus. I owe 400 dollars on it and I think I can sell it for more and keep the difference

I went from 7 Plus to XS Max. I thought about it for a few weeks after the preorder started.
I even consider getting a 8 Plus but with trade in of my 7 Plus the Max would be just a few dollars more monthly than what I paid for the 7 Plus. So if I was going to continue a monthly payment on a phone it might as all well be the latest offering.
I’m enjoying the Face ID and Wireless charging and the Screen and camera.

I had a Max, but was having reception issues mainly with Wifi, but I didn't want to chance it so I returned it. Where I work our IT department gave me an iPhone 8+, but after using the Max it has bugged me to not have one. So after getting a gift card for a couple of items to sent in to BrightStar I had right at $500 in gift cards. So, I figured I'd give it one more try. So far the display is just so freaking fantastic. While I have seen a bit of quirkiness with the LTE, though I can't say I've had major issues thus far. However, the 12.01 update certainly resolved the Wifi issue with the previous phone. So, I got another 14 days to play and see what Apple does. But with he reception even on Cellular that I have right now I can't imagine returning this one. Seems a lot of people do the Apple Upgrade Program too, I had considered it until I got my hands on these gift cards. From last Max to this Max the display is bit better in terms of it not being as warm, but also the battery life as I recall is on par if not a tad bit better than the iPhone 8+. Don't get me wrong the iPhone 8+ is a badass phone. It is now my back up just in case.
