Well, 1st those are 2GB DIMMs you posted. He's looking for 8GB DIMMs.

And no, MacPro1,1 memory right now is not expensive. Unless you call ~$300 for 32GB (8x4GB) expensive.

I have 6 of these in my 1,1 the label says:

Nanya NT2GT72U4NB1BN-3C They are 2G FB-DIMMS 5-5-5, running at 667MHz.

This is what System Information has to say:

Code:
  Size:	2 GB
  Type:	DDR2 FB-DIMM
  Speed:	667 MHz
  Status:	OK
  Manufacturer:	0x830B
  Part Number:	0x4E543247543732553850443142442D334320
  Serial Number:	0xDC0D2C4A

Hope that helps.

If it weren't for a couple of Dell workstations that we retired I would have 4Gb of RAM right now ;) Stuff is expensive, the number one reason IMO to skip over a 1,1 unless it's free.

sorry to wake this thread up but I have a 2008 3,1. will the 4Rx4 work with it? Thank you for your time.
