8GB refurb iPhones now $349...DOH!

Sorry if this has already been posted/discussed (too lazy to search). But the price drop got me wondering what would happen to the 8GB refurb price. Lo and behold there it is: $349. I might actually buy one now!!

Refurbished products from Apple are in basically new condition, so $50 saved is $50 earned.

You should always, always buy refurbished if money is of any value to you. Same warranty, products always in perfect condition. Try it next time... definitely worth it.

Actually when I checked on the 8GB refurb, the 4GB refurb was not there. Maybe they're all gone (until the new ones start being returned )

There will be a new one soon as Im sending mine back and going with the 8gb

Usually all refurb Apple products come in uglier, cardboard boxes.

mine came in a nice white apple certified box. So it's not cardboard and it's not ugly either.

And I had a nightmare with a new G5 as well. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is no more chance of getting a broken product as a refurb than as a new version.

Although I generally agree with your statement, some of us have had hit or miss results with Apple refurbs. I purchased a refurbished AirPort Express that was scratched to bits, had a broken power connector and shipped in a brown box with no protective packaging directly from the Apple Store.

I wouldn't just completely expect the item to be in like-new condition.
