You can still go back as far as I know.Same lag for me on my iPhone 6. I may try a clean install with iOS 9.1.
I wish I would have stayed on iOS 8.4.1

I don't have the necessary file and am afraid to get a copy from somewhere else or I honestly would. I've never backtracked on an OS update, but the little things like a second of unresponsiveness when you turn it on are irking me.
the file can be downloaded directly from apple servers

No offense, but the linked site doesn't look like an Apple hosted site.
it isn't but the link i posted has links to the files that are hosted on apple servers. run your mouse over the ipsw links on the site i shared and it will show the url, the ipsw files are hosted on appldnld.apple.com
Aside from the fact that the links are to files directly from Apple, no versions other than the Apple ones could be installed since there's verification that happens with Apple servers as part of the installation so no matter where you get the file, if it's not the real thing that Applr created you simply wouldn't be able to install it.No offense, but the linked site doesn't look like an Apple hosted site.

I wouldn't download and/or install any file not from apples servers directly. But that's me.anyone that can use google.com can figure out how to restore 8.4.1, as long as apple is still signing it. As of yesterday they still were.
