iPhone 9 (.0.2) Traffic/Proactive: When should I start expecting my travel time alerts?

i got travel alerts this morning, but it was way off. or it doesn't account for my speeding.....

My frequent locations is working today in notification center. What kind of travel alerts do you get?


I got an event alert for a calendar event today. It alerted with 50 minutes to go until event start time, and it was only an estimated 20 minute car drive. Is this how it usually operates, or are there additional travel time alerts I should get?

I got a travel notification for the Penguins game last night. I was pretty stoked. Then we lost. Again.

Mine finally started working. Takes more than a couple weeks

I'm out of town traveling and have been all week. Proactive figured out that I am based at a downtown hotel and gave me travel time back to the hotel from my evening destination after only three days!

Can someone tell me what needs to be enabled? For example, do notifications for "Maps" need to be turned on? Is that how the alerts are received? Or does the calendar app send a notification about travel time?
