A "ton" of people say that after almost any update, just as a "ton" of people say it's slower, and another "ton" say that their battery is horrible, while another "ton" that their battery is amazing...

Given a an average weight of 75kg/person " a ton of people" is not that much…. :D not even 14 people…

I will wait a long time until updating on IOS 9.3.1 …. especially since I bought one of my two iPhone 5 second hand…. I am not hot to search for the iCloud password of the original purchaser…

so waiting for more evidence that the bug(s) of 9.3 are REALLY old history….

9.3.1 was in development for longer than 2 weeks since this issue was discovered. Don't be naive

Was there a dev beta for this version? Because there wasn't a public.

Edit: Found an answer to my own question. There was.

I thought I read somewhere that part of the problem was a background process that kept repeatedly crashing. Would it not make sense that if that problem (even though small) was fixed that the device might be faster or have slightly better battery life? I don't know if that's true, but I do recall seeing it somewhere.

absolutely. If the fix for Safari also relieved the system with having to deal with crash logs and such it would indeed speed up the system. It's quite possible a performance increase was a side effect of the fix.

Ah the good ole "it's snappier" April fool's

Feels the same here, but I never had the Safari link bug as did not have any apps that utilised the linking function. Possible there is some truth to the crash logs, but I doubt it would impact performance to a great extent

It's a placebo effect you're having. An x.x.x update will not improve speed or responsiveness, especially as this was only a fix for the Universal Links. You'll have to wait until iOS 10 for true speed improvements. I'm really hoping they'll speed up the animations.

Normal size here. 6s. Are you streaming from Apple Music or is that album yours? Has the artwork shrank if you view it in the options?

I'm noticing some changes in the update from 9.3 to 9.3.1. I own a Verizon 6s, and I own a Verizon 3G range extender. With iOS 9.3, I had lots of problems with handoffs between WiFi calling and LTE, so much so that I turned WiFi calling off and used the range extender in the house. Last night (before the update) I decided to try putting my phone into airplane mode with WiFi turned on so that the phone would be forced to use WiFi calling in my house. It seemed to work great. I was able to place WiFi calls with no handoff issues in airplane mode. I did the 9.3.1 update this morning and I can no longer place calls while in airplane mode with WiFi turned on. I can connect to my WiFi network, but I don't see VZW WiFi anymore.

The other interesting thing is that when using a range extender, I previously had to use LTE for data only. Using it for voice would screw up the connection with the range extender. Since the update, I seem to be able to link up with the range extender and place calls through it even though I have LTE set to voice and data.

I may have to agree with a great IOS. Since launch date of iPhone 6s+ last year. I wasn't really happy with its performance its sluggish in use. With all the updates since, it may be a great fix. Now I worry about future updates may screw it up all over again.

Looks good but...
New issues post update:
- some text only web sites are not scrolling smoothly - I'll scroll down with a white screen showing then once I stop the text appears.
- Google Tasks that are linked into my calendar are causing some appointments to freeze then crash on open. These are showing as an item in my D&U.

So far everything else looks like it working as norm....

Hm. That is strange. If you "Get Info", is the artwork the size it should be? If not, that's a new bug.

yes my artwork has always been the regular size until 9.3.1 even the purchased music through iTunes is showing up as smaller album artwork

No problems with VZW WiFi voice calling in airplane mode here - worked on 9.3 and still working on 9.3.1.

The stutters when opening apps or spotlight for the first time after a restart are gone on my iPad Pro and iPhone 6s. I'm quite surprised since I didn't think this update was going to be anything special.

And people told me that .1 updates aren't going to ever include performance improvements smh
[doublepost=1459555130][/doublepost]I believe this update also fixed the bookmark avatar image swap issue
