If I were in the market for a laptop right now, I'd seriously consider a LG P1-j331p like this one: http://www.chip7.pt/catalogo/detalhes_produto.php?id=12567

the base config is generous enough, all pretty normal except the keyboard.
This computer is normally sized for one that has a 15.4" screen (.5cm taller than my 4 year old TiBook though :) ) and fits a numeric keypad. Instead of wasting the space between the normal 99 keys and the edges of the case, they just added the numeric keypad. great stuff :)

I'd happily run Ubuntu Linux on this one and then I'd put Windows XP in a VMware cage, just in case it's needed.

Uh, I haven't ever downloaded an MP3 that the artist hadn't approved for free distribution. Plenty of FLACs and SHNs from those that have.

Uh, like you said...er...thanks.

You didn't post here whining about illegality anyway ;) Haha
You are one of the many few, then.

Though I'd like to point out that signed artists do not have the right to approve of free distribution. Artists rarely own the copyrights on the recordings.

What an ugly laptop, doesn't run OS X. It is thicker than a Old King James version of the Holy Bible!
