My description of the process was in response to someone searching for a ring to go with the Space Black watch. Searching "dlc black ring" barely shows anything. Searching "pvd ring" instantly shows tons of black rings, whether they be tungsten, titanium, stainless steel, etc. Being that DLC is more expensive type of PVD coating, it's not used as often on rings where the profit margins are lower than that of watches.

I've never put much stock into these forums up until this Apple Watch launch, in hopes to find any info on my SS w/ Link Bracelet.

All I'm finding is that people have been disturbingly hostile, arguing, name calling, etc.

My purpose of responding about the coating/process was to help that poster find more options with the rings. Your purpose: to correct or tell me I'm wrong.

I suppose I'm not cut out for these forums...

Any prospective Space Black owners will have issues with you calling DLC essentially the same thing as PVD, especially considering how scratchable generic PVD coating is.

I appreciate the help misterberry! :)

There's all kinds of people in here - as with any forum. Just don't sweat the ones that push your buttons.

Thanks! Don't let my erroneous descriptions of black jewelry make you cancel your Space Black watch order!

Oddly enough, I own a "generic PVD" black watch and ring, priced at $1000 and $150 respectively. I've owned both for about 3 years now. The ring doesn't have a single scratch/scuff/etc and the watch only has very minor ones.

Good luck on the ring hunt!

A ring to go with my watch?

Is this Tanegashima in his Faraday Cage? :D

Lol very funny.

In the end in the end i'll go with this combo. I agree that a mesh steel ring could be redundant.

Mine matches pretty well, in my opinion, with the HD wedding ring my wife bought me a few years ago.

Sorry if this should be in an other section didnt know where else to post..

I'm Looking for a nice ring under 50$ (idealy) that would go well with my Silver Sports & Milanese loop. I was thinking a brushed/polished metal combo to recall the watch and the band as much as possible. The material is not a problem if within the budget.. It has to be available in size 14 and shipping available to Canada.

Am asking for help because I have the watch but my milanese loop isnt going to arrive until june so I was thinking someone who already owns it could probably make a better recommendation. But feel free to suggest even if you don't own one.

Thanks for your replies

This is not bad (I'm assuming your a guy)

My silver Tiffany wedding ring goes well with my SS. Probably the main reason why I went to the SS. To match my ring lol.
