Hello everyone, my names Vincent, well i got a little story you probaly all hear alot. Well im 17 years old and leave in california, I wanted the iphone ever since i saw it, so i bought one with my own money and i pay my bill ($110 a month) well today when i was messing around with friends, and i was running, i had my iphone in the folio puch i always wear, and, at some point...it disapeared, it disapeared and i dont know who took it. This is my baby, and a girl i really like texts me. And so. I am here on this forum, the iphone was never found, and when i call it now it goes to voicemail, the good news is that it has a passcode on it. 16gb 3Gs. Im pretty messed up now, knowing that i had it for like a month and a half. and it just disapears, i checked them all, but one of the people i was with went home and came back really quick. So hes the suspect, yelled at him and all that, couldnt get a hold on my side, i was sure he took it. But now im screwed, cant trace it, wish i put that app in cydia that traces it, i was thinking about putting that on earlier today haha. But now, its night one without it, and i feel like **** because its hard for a young teen to come up with money like this. Called AT&T up, cant trace it, i can suspend it whenever i want, but im going to give it a day to see what happens. Worst day of my life :(

Sucks yeah, end of the world no.
watch craigslist for a few weeks i bet it ends up their this weekend.

That sucks.

Financial advice: You're 17 years old and don't need to be blowing huge portions of your income on luxury items. If you're this upset about losing it I'm pretty sure it's a definite sign that you couldn't afford it in the first place.

Save or invest your money while you're young, it pays off a hell of a lot more the sooner you get started...

I don't think the OP asked for your financial advice. So, did you really feel that you needed to give it? He's a kid. Play Dad somewhere else.

Anyway, OP, sorry that happened to you.

I feel sorry for you kid i know how it feels I lost mine on sept 30... 32gb :-( i had to buy another one full price because i couldnt go back to my previous phones... To boring compare to the iphone...

I don't think the person to whom you replied asked for your opinion and advice on his opinion. Play The Decider Of How Everyone Should Act someplace else.

He posted a thread about losing an iPhone and made it sound like the phone was his own flesh and blood, wtf could you possibly expect?

The no-BS answer would be this: It's a piece of metal and plastic that can easily be replaced, so cry less and go get a new one.

Happy now?

rofl... touché

Look, as long as we're dispensing advice to this kid.

1. It's just a phone. Man up, dude.
2. Stop buying things you can't afford.
3. Oh...some of your spelling, grammar, and syntax is horrible.

There.
I know I feel better about myself now.

dont hate on OP, I would be upset if I lost my phone also. But things happen, you have applecare? It doesnt cover that but see what they can do, if they say they cant do anything about theft say you left it in a burning house and that was the end of your phone. never know might work.

No no no no no. Let's please not encourage this young kid to lie. Life sucks more than we would like. But lying about something isn't going to make it better. I feel for the OP, it really does suck. But he'll have to move on. After all, that's life.

Troll.
How is that for syntax?
Seriously, it is like you came straight from the how to be a troll article.

I do however agree with your first two points.

Wtf

You agree with the two that are opinions then disagree with the one that is clearly fact? How do you disagree with a fact? That's not even possible!

Most people's comments here are simply just meaningless. Look. The OP lost his phone. That's bad enough and yet you guys are rubbing salt to his wound by talking BS about his grammar and that he can't afford it and **** like that. Are you even helping him by saying all that? There are many who can afford iPhones and better stuff and if they lose it, does this mean they cannot afford it? What a load of BS and crap.

OP: Sorry about your loss. :( Try checking eBay if it ever turns up. That's the best thing you could do to try to recover your phone. Good luck!

File police report with serial number.
Bring police report to genius bar and have someone add a note under the serial.

I say go to that kids house and kick the **** out of him. Either that or tell his parents.
