this frenchy forumer found, i think, exactly the problem, about not the GPU but the tantalum condensators next to it (as i understood)
unfortunately, this guy was reparing lot of macbook in france, but until 2018/19.. and then havent posted since.. hope covid didnt caught that old man, as he is an electronician specialist, but even the forum admins can't reach him anymore.
on my side :
with this macbook, as the snow leopard original disk isn't readable anymore, i was able to ""restore"" the computer using the niresh hackingosh, the only usb media i was ever able to boot on mac (im not a apple expert, far of it)
i have no other apple computers so it's a bit hard to try various .dmg here and here (especially apple's garden's archive mirror) to burn them on dvd or usb : didn't worked.
so since few weeks im trying to work with that niresh hackintosh, well :
it can be installed easily, even if the computer's bottom warm over than my oven
but :
after installation (from usb), it boot ; it warms, but it boot well.
almost all shutdown/poweroff : had to press 3/5 seconds holding powerbutton, or a unlimited serie of 3 beeps until it was forced halted.
but :
problem is, in this situation :
even if the first bootup after installation works like a charm : all next are blocked after the apple startup screen (black apple in white background), and then the screen is totally black/empty, absolutely no clue of computer is still on except the fan still active.. so i have to salvage poweroff it, then it loops freezes at boot..
only solution is to get it reinstalled, about 30/40mins, from usb stick, to get everytime the first startup as correctly usable and well booting..
i even tried with the gfx card status, in auto switched (problem, before i was binding it to intel, but one time it frozen anyway, and i had to reinstall, now i let on automatic..), but today it's still complicated..
any clue or maybe a solution whom can fix it, as im not an eletronician and can't deal with electronics components myself, nor spend a penny for it?
