Agreed. If Apple products are no longer meeting your needs, then you would be foolish to not go elsewhere. But just because you are leaving, doesn't mean it is time to "dump Apple."

I first got the ipod touch, my first ipod and my first apple product ever. Then I got the iphone 3g when my blackberry ball stopped working ( i was the biggest iphone hater when they first came out, they have came FAR from what they were).
I also was a windows user all my life and I now own my first MAC which I bought on the 18th of october, and I also upgraded my iphone to the 3GS.
So will every person leaving is one or more coming in. If you dont want your iphone anymore can I have it?

I never understand these "I'm dumping the iPhone or Apple or whatever" threads. What's the point, really? Is it some proclamation to try and get the rest of us to realize our folly of choice? Are you trying to make some sort of statement?
If you want to leave At&t and the iPhone, go ahead. But to announce it is only seeking some sort of validation and support for the minutiae of your life.

Well have fun. I just dump Verizon and jumped ship to At&T. So far so good for me. Don't know why it took so long for me to switched. I'm glad I did wait because I would have just had the 3G and not the 3GS.
Just got a HP laptop in April but now I want a Mac. I'm not having problems, I just want a Mac.
In a couple weeks I will be getting a Nano.
Nov. 13th so you can see what other people think after a week

LOL, do you know without what some non-technical people called Apple "closed" innovations, some things will never be popularized? Example:

Enjoy Verizon man! Seriously. At&t reception sucks where I live, in Denver, Co., so I feel your pain. If I didn't love my iPhone, and its interaction with my MBP so much, I would probably join you. I miss my days of being on the excellent Sprint network. The iPhone is just so damn awesome, that I put up with At&t's crappy network.
Thankyou for sharing! Your every interest fascinates us and we enjoy hearing about your every whim and need. Please tell us more about yourself, while we put on these headphones. Don't worry they are not soundproof, I can just listen to very, very loud music (from my iPhone) while you ramble on about your every fascinating problem with Apple.

One thing that pisses me off about the Droid already: visual voicemail. Verizon makes you subscribe to get it and it's something like $8 / month, which is ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
And the only picture I've found taken with the Droid looks like ****:
