regarding the "greyed-out" ipcc, i briefly had that issue and it wasn't because of the default write. the default write line just lets you option click restore to be able to choose the ipcc. the reason it is greyed out is because the mac thinks its a zip file. if you go into terminal and do an ls, you'll see that there is a .zip tacked onto the back of the filename. i did a "cp ATT_US.ipcc.zip ATT_US.ipcc" and itunes now let me install.

I got this to work yesterday over bt. Obviously yesterday it was on a 3g today I got my 3gs right now got no internet at home so tethering is my fix to I get internet again. It installs and everything I get to the point that the iPhone says tethering in the blue letters but when I try to connect it won't work i've uninstalled and reinstalled plenty of times is it working for anyone?

Yes it worked perfectly for me until I upgraded to 3.1 should have know they offered bogus upgrade that slowed my 3g down and took away the ability to tether. Now in the process of downgrading back to 3.0 to get tethering. don't care is I cannot MMS

I found this awhile back on a mac rumors forum.
It's pretty easy and works usb and bluetooth with AT&T in Atlanta.
I use it sometimes at my brother's apt b/c his internet sucks.
I downloaded while on vacation at Hilton Head but didnt have a chance to use it there.
