I just went out and picked up a 16 GB iPhone, and now I can't activate it until tomorrow afternoon. Something's up here in the US too. I'm bummed. Boo-urns.

Yes, transferred my old O2 number over to it, all happened in a matter of minutes. I guess it will take longer if you're porting from another network. Don't you get issued a temporary number to use for now?

Anyway, good luck people, enjoy your new toy..... Finally!

My first post from my iPhone, now just waiting for the new MBP to be announced....

All the best,

Steve

I have also activated mine.

But for me, the server problem was a blessing in disguise - the iPhone I bought originally had three dead pixels so it was the ideal excuse for me to take it back for a full refund whilst my boyfriend bought me another one. As the first hadn't been activated, no questions were asked...

So, all in all, I'm happy (and the screen on the iPhone is a lot better than my iPod Touch, too).

Although, my iPhone still says 'No Service' nearly an hour after activation even though my BF's O2 phone has full bars. I'm hoping it won't be too much longer??

I activated my phone yesterday but couldn't actually use it til 8am this morning due to it always just saying 'your iPhone is not yet activated'.

I've just got my o2 bill which says 18th Feb - 17th Mar £35, 17th Feb £1.13.

What's that all about?? They're charging me for a day I couldn't even use the thing!! And my voicemail doesn't work.

Anyone else have these issues?

Not had my bill yet either, but I'm having the same problems with my voicemail. Currently out of the country, so won't be able to sort it out till I come back. Slight inconvenience, but at least the phone works OK.

I got mine yesterday, activated no probs taking my old number with me. Main problem now is everytime I try and access voicemail it tells me 'Sorry, the person you are calling is currently unavailable' or something along those lines. Is this the same issue you guys are having with voicemail?

Just randomly tried to set up my visual voicemail today and it worked. Wasn't expecting it to as I'm currently outside the UK in Dublin. Tested it and all seems to be working fine.
