I had the iPhone 8 before going 12 mini and for some reason the screen is almost the same width but the phone itself its not and it just feels more cramped to typed compared to my iPhone 8. I got the 12 and the battery was way better and liked the screen size to. I currently have an iphone SE 2020 but Im not sure if to buy the mini again or just go with the normal size. I would love pro but its just to heavy and expensive. Really wish Apple would make an 5.8 iPhone with their new flat design, that would be the best of both worlds in my opinion.

This is the kind of story that scares me!

If it felt cramped, why are you considering a mini again?

If you didn’t get on with the 12 mini then you won’t get on with the 13 mini either. It is a touch narrower but mainly because of the design it feels a lot more slim than perhaps it actually is in comparison.

Did you try the 12 mini with a case?

Are you suggesting that a case might make a difference in feel and typing ease? Interesting.

The Apple site says the 12 min and 13 mini are the exact same height and width, and 13 mini has a touch more depth and weight. You're saying something about the 13 mini actually feels smaller than 12 mini?

Per Apple's dwgs, the only difference between Mini 12 and Mini 13 is the thickness:
