I agree with those folks who want a smaller Mac Pro but think we're unlikely to see one.
I think it would be fabulous to have something bigger and more capable than a Mini, but a lot smaller than a Mac Pro--those things are BIG! And there is a lot of expense in the packaging and shipping of a Mac Pro--reduce the size and weight significantly and you could cut the cost significantly.
As long as we're here again, my ideal would be something that could handle a couple of hard drives, a good graphics card (not that I need one, but.....), And lots of RAM--how much, I don't know. It would have one optical drive, have FW800, wireless, and be relatively easy to access to upgrade.
I'd love to have a machine like that with the 23" ACD--it would be perfect. While I like my iMac, I know I'm going to have to replace it at some point--because I won't be able to upgrade the CPU or graphics card when applications get to the point when this machine won't run them well. . .
