Yeah. I thought "Photos" was a stupid name (kinda hard to search on it) but Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC is even more idiotic. Source of constant confusion; the tech support folks probably wanna hang the marketing folks.

In any case, Classic is the local storage application, and CC is the mobile and cloud based application. The "new" desktop application is called "Adobe Lightroom CC." The old application, the successor to the standalone verions, is Classic.
The full official names from Adobe:

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC is the current desktop version.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC is the cloud-based version.
Lightroom Perpetual (AKA the REAL classic) is the never again to be updated version.

With the new Classic CC release (why do they still bother with release numbers?) Adobe reset the trial switch to allow another week, so I did the update to see if there was enough improvement to tempt me away from Perpetual, For me no. The sad thing is that after all of these years scrolling in grid view is still horrible. If Photos and ON1 and Capture One can do it right, why not Adobe?

Why? LR 6.14 continues to work under Mojave.

Yeah, I have no trouble with LR 6.14 on Mojave either.

Mine is showing 6.12 and no updates available. How can I upgrade to 6.14 before I install Mojave?
Thanks for the info guys!

Edit: I found the patches for 6.13 and 6.14 on the adobe website, but installation fails. "Updates could not be applied".
I guess it's 6.12 for me...

Weird that yours isn’t updating. I’ve had no trouble there. Is there a more specific error message?

Here is the error code:
Update is not applicable. Error Code: U44M2P28
I tried 6.13 first, got this code, also tried 6.14, same issue.

Zero problems with 2017 iMacs running Mojave and a variety of photo apps: Lr & Ps, C1P, Topaz Studio,.....etc.

With Mojave Metal was not bumped from version 2 to 3. With Sierra and High Sierra it was the changes to Metal that made many photo and graphics apps need an update.

Installed Mojave last night, Lightroom is working, but I haven't really had a chance yet to play with it.

Even though off topic, but might still be of interest.
I ended up doing a clean install of High Sierra on my 2014 13" rMBP, because Mojave just didn't live up to the speed increase I tough I'd get be reading the forums on here. For me at least it was a lot slower navigating through my Lightroom workflow, so it had to go.
