I get a "Skip Ad" box only. I have to click on it to play the video.
I never see an ad playing.
Thats what im seeing as well, No actual ad. I think Adblock is blocking the actual ad that is supposed to be displayed but is unable to block the "Skip Ad" blank screen.

it appears that YouTube has come up with new ad technology that is now able to circumvent “Lockdown,” “AdGuard Pro”, “PIA”, and possibly many more while using Safari.

This explains the skip ads option that was showing for a few weeks on YouTube before the start of each video. That option is no longer there. They have gone live with their new ad scheme. I hope developers find away to block these ads again.

I don’t use Google Chrome.

YouTube has also started putting multiple ads in short videos as well. I don’t have a YouTube account and refuse to do so, much less pay Google. If the adlockers can’t come up with a new blocking technique, I may stop using YouTube. If Nebula doesn’t have ads, I may pay to use their service.

has anyone found a solution to this on IOS? The only solution is to either turn off adguard or switch to mobile which limits the resolution options
