At the end of the day it is the buyer's bucks and choice pure and simple. That is what the free market is all about but pointless telling us.
Can't be pointless, you read it and replied 🤷‍♂️. This is a forum for discussion which is exactly what is happening now. If people didn't post then there would be no content. I never get this sort of response but I see it alot on this forum.

apple is like macdonalds
a great company who decided to make a lesser product down the road.

my dad would marvel how he needed 5 minutes to eat a bigmac back in the day.
he switched to berger king eventually and never ate at macdonalds
beside placing an ad in the community newspaper his thoughts were kept to himself.
but that bothered him, a bit.

now we have forums were people can vent their frustrations.
which is a wonderful aspect of this century.

Apple doest tweek things and improves on their failures or annoyances.
but they will never make a big Mac like back in the day!

I have worked in my home office for the last 29 years. When Windows 95 came out it was a horrible experience for me so I moved over to System 7 on a Power Mac. I have always had a Mac in my office since then...Fast forward to 2021, I still have a Mac in my office as well as a Mac Book Air and a iMac streaming iTunes / Apple Music but for professional use my daily driver is a HP workstation with a Quadro card in it. In my humble opinion Windows seems to have become much better and Mac OS has become a little for the worse. I will probably always have a Mac in my office but doubt it will ever take back daily driver duties. That being said I'm happy to be able to use either OS should I wish.

We have very similar set ups and I 100% agree.
windows has been much better recently and the period where I did everything I could to avoid it has gone and my eyes were opened.

however, in no way will a windows pc ever be my ‘personal‘ computer and will simply remain as an effective tool for professional work.

I agree, I do use Office for my workstation but use an iCloud account for my work email. I found that Mailbird is an absolute iCloud beast when it comes to handling e-mail tasks. I actually prefer it over Apple Mail. I also use all of the Apple apps for my personal life. If I was not working a Mac Mini would be all I would ever need.

nice post, i had a 7200 something then and stuck with apple for graphic design purposes, then the iMac bodni blue hooked me in for good.
we had compaqs at work and i would bring omega zip drives files from that 7200 to work so the artwork would work!

today the Dell XPS 13" is my main computer source and windows 10 runs circles around anything 
while I'm typing this on a MacBook air 2010.
something i never thought i would be apart back in 1995, or even 2017.

Maybe not, depends if they help in productivity and have a GPU that will apparently destroy a 3080 (you called it)
Last post you didn’t need it. Starting to realize I’m bang on the money! Check out the leaks and rumors.

Trust me, it’s gonna destroy it like a Panther on a rabbit.
