The Note 3's camera is much better in daylight and it records 4k video.

And if you're using Nova launcher and Widget locker.. Why not get a Google Edition S4?

I hate TouchWiz but I love the Google Edition S4. I own one.

The Galaxy S4 is an outdated phone. It's like getting an iPhone 5 now.

I also had an S4 and even then, it wasn't up to snuff. Screen, speed etc.

Finally, the Note 3 seems like the first Android device that doesn't have a fatal flaw (still AMOLED but much brighter and more useable). Plastic but rear looks and feels nice (and has the benefits of removeable battery/storage). Acceptable camera, fast SOC and enough RAM (barely, actually. With 3GB, Android only allows me 2.26 or so, and most of the time, 1.5gb is being used with the basic apps running like Flipboard and Gmail. Android appears awful with memory management).

Only real problem with the Galaxy Note 3 is that it's a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and not a Google Nexus Note 3.

lol this is a funny statement. Sadly such a thing doesn't exist. However, my biggest problem with the Note 3 (and all other AMOLED phones) is the screen. If it's put up next to a LG G2 for example I'm blown away by the difference by LCD. Personal preference I guess.

Hmmm.... on THAT note (no pun intended), I might just cross the Note 3 off my short list. I want a better camera, damn it. Sue me! :)

Gotta take a look at that LG G2. How's the camera? ;)

It's gotten great reviews. Especially because of the optical image stabilization. Same mega pixels as the Note 3 and S4. I didn't try it in the store but all the reviews I've seen call it a strong point of the phone.

a better place
there is a bug in the Note3 that makes the transition animation revert back to 1x after you launch the camera even if you set it to 0 or .5x...

Is it a bug in only some software variants (AT&T/Verizon??) because it doesn't revert back to x1 on mine ?

The N3 camera is just not better than the 5s in any condition. I'm posting this from my N3 btw.

Really? Haven't used Android in a while, have you? Thanks for playing. And in case you are to dazzeled by the capability provided by Google, here is my current location using my Nexus 7, travelling at 65mph in a convoy. Accuracy is to within 21feet. Not bad, considering the metal and aluminum above my head right now. And coords would be perfect for a gbu-12 strike. LOL

I stand corrected. I own and use a Nexus 4 and wasn't aware of this feature.

If you using Nexus 4 and Android 4.3... Go to Google Settings, then enable Google Device Manager.

Google Device Manager is similar with find my iPhone, except you cannot remotely lock the device...

You can remotely lock or erase your phone if you enable the setting to "Allow remote lock and factory reset" in Google Settings>Android Device Manager. Android 4.3 is not a requirement. It works fine on my Note II running 4.1.2.

Actually, I haven't used those apps in years, because the ROMs I use provide more functionality than the apps.

I have to agree that Android Device Manager works much better than Find My iPhone. There are times when ADM can find and ring my misplaced HTC One in 30 seconds, and FMI could not even find an iPhone 4S.
