WHAT's WITH MINE?

Like everyones, mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but mine says this: GUANGZHOU, CN 04/02/2010 4:10 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
SHENZHEN, CN 03/30/2010 1:54 A.M. ORIGIN SCAN
CN 03/30/2010 1:21 P.M. BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED

It used to say Kentucky, but it's not there anymore

Anyone know what's up with this?

Talked to another supervisor, she informed me that the first supervisor was correct, there were two pallets that did not have the correct paperwork for customs, some i not dotted or t not crossed. She said unless someone on the suppliers side gets the correct paperwork to them it probably won't go out until Sunday our time (Monday in Korea) making it here by Monday / Tuesday at the latest.

Yea, and even if they left 10 hours ago they would not make it tomorrow, it could very well be Tuesday

UPS and its native web tracking does not provide all of the details, go to packagetrackr.com and you will see that you did leave China last night on a flight that stopped in Korea. And we either fell off the plane there, or got stuck in Alaska a few hours later
THANK YOU! That makes so much more sense. I am much less worried now :)

depending on who people talk to at UPS they get different answers.

But in a situation like this they are going to say exactly what the Twitter guy says, "I don't have any information, so you should be good!"

Having a couple of folks say that the KFoD exists tells me that it does... if they didn't know about it, they would have just said the party line of "y'all are fine!"

Look, I would love to say I believe we will get our packages tomorrow, but I am VERY pessimistic (It would be great to be wrong)

Makes sense. At this point I don't think we're getting it.

The lady from UPS just called me back to apologize, problem with Korean flight of Doom FDA involved, seems our shipment got marked for a random inspection...I assume to make sure apple is not smuggling drugs from China!

Great news

P.S. Just Kidding! LOL I think we all should just go to sleep, most likely our ipads will be here when we wake up, just make sure to put the presigned slip on your door! Good Luck.

A few words from ThomasatUPS on Twitter:

Fourth, I'll be back on in the morning, checking Twitter and helping however I can.

Third, if you've not received notice that your area does not have Saturday delivery and you're resched for Monday, then you're good for 4/3.

Second, UPS developed special ops plan to coordinate delivery of iPads on a single day. And so, Tracking is not showing all movements.

A few things before I hop off ... First, UPS reaffirms the notice you received from Apple that delivery is scheduled for Saturday.

The big clue will be in 6 hours whether a scan comes up in your local airport after the aircraft arrives from Louisville. If the tracking still hasn't changed by 6am I think we're doomed until at least Monday.

I still hope I am wrong, but know that I am not.

Anyways, off to bed, knowing that good news does not await us in the AM.

Tuesday is only 4 days away.

I too am on the KFoD but really.... I am impatient as the next guy when it comes to receiving toys via UPS. On several occasions, I've had the status not reflect anything after 'Original Scan' and then to be fully updated after it was delivered.

Hang in there guys. I really think we're okay here.

I've received word that Kurt Russell and Chuck Norris have been dispatched to re-take the hijacked UPS plane that is currently bound for North Korea. Godspeed, men.

Agreed :)

Hopeful!

I just refreshed the package tracker page, and it says my iPad's on it's way to my house!!! YAY!!!!! I knew it!!!!! HUZZAH!

Rock and Roll! Great news. Mine still isn't updated but like I said previously, we shouldn't read too far into the status updates.

Great news though - makes me feel better.
