I was being sarcastic.. that thing looks way too thick to fit in anyone's walletOf course they can. And break it in half when you sit on your wallet

Sample of 1 is not a good statistical representation. LOLWhat does this solve?
This is a genuine question.
In 59 years I have lost my wallet exactly 1 (one) time. That was 40 years ago…
Do people genuinely lose/get stolen their wallets this often? 🤨
As long as they don't force a U2 chip on us.can we just get the Apple Card with a U1 chip
If you're unlucky, you'll be restricted to an airport of pain.A lost wallet is inconvenient but a lost passport (at an airport) is a whole world of pain.
I don’t disagree, but even in a tech, heavy city, like Seattle or San Francisco, the number of times where I’ve needed a physical credit card is still very high enough that I can’t go walletless yet. This feature is about to be rendered obsolete once Apple rolls out iOS 17 with NameDrop.
Even if you can return the dead AirCard to be recycled, this is still a waste. And with Apple trying to replace the physical wallet with their improved Wallet app, is there that big a market for this?
This is basically a subscription service since it can't be recharged/doesn't have replaceable battery. If you want to keep using the device/service/features after battery dies, you have to pay up for another one at some price that will certainly be higher than their current early bird price.
EDIT... I see it now. €27 early bird price is 31% off their regular retail price. So regular retail price is approximately €39. Replacement will be about €20.
What does this solve?

I was unable to find a single positive review of that product, lol.My Chipolo card is good.
Oh I remember those! It doesn’t feel that long ago but I think the last time I had a Mac like that was in 2000 or so. I was already an adult then. Time really f flies! My mind went to the same place! I was thinking of those ExpressCard slots MBPs had back in the day.
And an AirTag is thin enough to be thrown on a wallet.
Do you carry cards? Card-only wallets are popular. I'm old school and am still carrying the nylon wallet a friend gave me 40 years ago. Cards and some cash. Not carried a wallet in about 4 years. Or cash unless it unavoidable.
Chipolo has the same card, but with Find My support. I have been using it now for almost a year and it works great.Tile has a similar card but using Find My would be better.
When it comes to battery life, Rolling Square says AirCard will last up to 30 months, but it can't be recharged. Once the battery in your card dies, Rolling Square will send you a coupon code for 50% off a new card. You can then either return the spent AirCard to Rolling Square for component reuse or keep it to continue using its digital business card and QR-code scan-to-find capabilities that don't require battery power.

Some people lose their wallets often but I think this is more useful for temporarily misplaced wallets just like the way people misplace keys and their phones. Why spend 3 minutes looking for your wallet in your house when you can find it in 10 seconds? That’s the pitch anyway. What does this solve?

Who still sits on their wallet? If it doesn’t kink your spine beyond the point of usefulness, putting your wallet in your back pocket is akin to putting your iPhone there, which I have seen some women do, or putting your firearm there, which I have NEVER seen anybody do.Of course they can. And break it in half when you sit on your wallet
While it looks nice and quite impressive, this bit is not factually correct.just 2.2 mm thick (about the thickness of 1.6 typical credit cards
😂we have 2 songs in the iTunes in our office. One is a reveal song for new projects at work and one is that stupid U2 song and my coworker just accidentally played it like an hour agoAs long as they don't force a U2 chip on us.
