StreamToMe works as long as you go into the video preferences and change the video player type to the Apple Movie Player. Here is the process as described on the StreamToMe website:

Using StreamToMe with AirPlay video on your Apple TV:
Once you've upgraded to iOS 4.3 (on your Apple TV and StreamToMe device), you will need to choose the Apple Movie Player interface from the "Player Interface" section of the "Track Settings" in StreamToMe. "Track Settings" can be reached by tapping on the blue arrow at the right of any file's row. The AirPlay button in this interface will let you select the Apple TV for video and audio output. You can save this setting for all files using the "Save to Global Settings..." button at the bottom of the "Track Settings" screen.

Yupp tv app has airplay support... But quality is not good...Currently Vevo app has the highest quality... I think apple shud give some option to zoom in the videos on airplay..

Try this site: http://theapple.tv/apps/airplay-enabled-apps/ There will be a complete list of apps and websites soon. Has anyone else watched 'TV Shows' on Apple TV outside of the USA? Just got it going!!! Great!

You're doing a great job, keep up the great work, it's truly appreciated!!!

I know it's still early and the quality is gonna lack in many of these apps, but hopefully as time goes on, Airplay is improved and more apps/sites implement it.

Airplay is the future, they (developers/sites) better get on board and take advantage.

Justin.Tv app supports Airplay now , Thank you justin.Tv

I have this app but never used it really, can you tell me what on here is worth watching, or what you use it for please?

All I seem to find is rubbish videos! maybe I need some links or something. Would appreciate some help

cheers

To be honest Justin.tv might not be interesting for you , i watch soccer games broadcasted on it from people back home , Middle East to be specific.
I just usually watch Justin.tv on my 27-mac, but sometimes you need something bigger to enjoy the game. Thats why am so happy that they enabled Airplay.

Btw guys i found out that there is a tool in Cydia called AirVideoEnabler , google it. It enables AirPlay for almost any thing ,helped alot before Justin.tv guys updated their app.

Do I need to have my ATV2 jailbroken to watch Justin.tv? I'm confused on how I can do this? Thanks.

No, you don't need to jailbreak for Justin.tv. It's an app in the App Store.

I just tried out the Discovery HD app on the iPad and quality is ok on my 60" tv. The Vevo app is great but it depends on the music video. The older videos are mostly SD and don't look so hot but some of the newer videos are in HD quality and look great when using Airplay.

I've found that a lot of the older videos on the Vevo app won't play on the Apple TV via AirPlay at all. Some of the newer ones really do look great, though. I was surprised to see that they showed up in HD.

I found this tip at the apple discussions
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2772485&tstart=0

you can kind of hack safari or hulu by opening YouTube, airplaying a video, then closing YouTube (the app and in the background) and then playing a video

and it works..it's a bit hit and miss, I had to do it a few times to get it to work but it allowed me to airplay video from safari to a remotehd enabled atv gen1.

Progress... Hope this helps guys!

The new Pogoplug app (v4.0) for the iPhone/iPod touch works with AirPlay. Thus, you can use a Pogoplug as a NAS-like device for storing your video and audio content and with AirPlay you can now view that content even on your Apple TV 2 (without involving a Mac/PC or iTunes and with NO jailbreaking on any of the iOS devices).

The Pogoplug device and the new Pogoplug app seem to work pretty well over my local network (not 100% flawlessly, but still quite good) and I was even able to stream content over the internet to a remote location where I used an iPod touch and AirPlay to view content on a second Apple TV. What I mean is that the files were stored on my Pogoplug at home and I could stream that content over the internet to another location that was miles away from my home and then AirPlay that to an Apple TV that was also at this second location.

When going over the internet in this manner I did have some performance problems, but I think that was happening because of some issues with my uplink speeds from my ISP at home (I get no better than 420Kbps on my uplink and I have had times when even that slow speed falls to less than 100Kbps which makes streaming video pretty much impossible).

Hit and miss - Justin.tv

It can be good but try this to make it better. On you computer sign into jtv and do searches for you interests and then bookmark/follow your favorites. It makes it a lot easier to find something because you sync it into your account.

The best Airplay app out is Stash Pro

Hi, how do I transfer video file from computer wirelessly to the iPad via Stash ?

I enabled the "Start Web Access" inside Stash Pro, got to the appropriate "http://xxxxx", selected the "+" option in Stash and selected the file on computer... But nothing happened (?)

This is the similar that I used with GoddReader / 2Screens to import files wirelessly into iPad, but nothing happened with Stash.

And the manual was VERY skimpy on this procedure.

TIA

Hi, how do I transfer video file from computer wirelessly to the iPad via Stash ?
I can't speak to that but I've been using "filebrowser" and "cinexplayer". I can access all the shares on my network, transfer files, directly play avi files. You don't even have to hack.

Thanks, I will check those apps out.

However, I still like to carry video files (in Stash) when travel. And wish not having to use iTunes to transfer them...
