I have the latest gen Airport Express plugged into powered speakers.
My MacBook Air is able to send audio to those speakers without ever failing to connect. 100% success rate.
On iOS/iPadOS, however, it has a mind of its own and connects when it wants to. Fails many, many times. Often I have to try different combos of connecting to make it work and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
I'm open to any ideas/theories as to why this happens and if there's a way to fix it? All devices are on the AirPort WiFi network. Not an elaborate, fancy, bespoke config. Am I alone on this? This issue's a major piece of friction in my day-to-day I'd love to eliminate.
I'm running all the latest software as of this update. My device list is in my below signature.
