I have had the pro 2’s since Saturday I saw there was a firmware update but mine has not updated. I am having major battery drain issues with the case. It steadily drops while I’m listening and it isn’t charging anything. I was hoping FireWire update would fix this but it’s not coming through.

Maybe try switching then between multiple devices, using them a bit, then putting them back into the case and waiting a couple of minutes.

This seemed to do the trick for me: pairing first to iPhone, listening to an album or half an album on Apple Music, placing back into case and closing lid, waiting a bit, then pairing them with and doing the same (except maybe I watched some YouTube instead of listening to music) on my iPad. I put them back into their case and waited, alternating between closed/open lid every few minutes, but nothing. Then just as I began giving up, reconnecting them to my phone before placing the ‘Pods back in their case and then heading off to bed, voila—I checked again and they’d updated.

I had a battery problem with the Airpods pro 2 also since I bought them on Friday. Battery in them dropped from 100% to 86% with them just sitting on my desk not being used. I returned them for a new pair on Sunday so I'll have to wait to see if the new ones are better. Mine are on the new firmware.

Still no luck with mine I’m always switching between music and other apps. Haven’t connected to iPad in a few days, maybe that will help.

Since paying closer attentions they seem to balance out somewhat after dropping to 90%. I also noticed when charging they will indicated fully charged at 89% but will keep charging to 100%

Unplugged them yesterday at 9 pm and used them today for 1h in the gym. The buds lost around 10%. Now it's 3 pm and case is at 85%. Is that normal?

Same here, very disappointed. I have been using the first gen APP and immediately noticed the difference. Mind you, my 1st gen was a launch day unit and was not holding charge as well as it once did.

Does anyone know if you can get the updated APP2 firmware (5A377) if you're running iOS 15.7? Has anyone running 15.7 received the APP2 firmware update? I've had my APP2's since Sunday and have not been able to get the firmware updated. Wondering if you need some version of iOS 16 to get the firmware update?

I noticed some drain yesterday when not using, but used them for an hour last evening while exercising. Put them back in their case and when I went to bed the case was at 78%. Case was at 78% when I woke up this morning, so no drain overnight.

I had battery drain on my gen 1 Pro's (magsafe case version) and the only thing that stopped it was turning off "find my".. They'd lose 10% or more just sitting on the counter in the case. I know it's not a great fix but after disabling "find my" I can leave my Pro's on the counter for days in the case and it loses a couple of percent at the most..

Mine still haven’t updated, I’m still on iOS 15 as well. My battery seems to act up the same as yours, it’s weird. I’m considering taking mine back, would just like to have some consistency.

Mine have updated and I’m still noticing drain. Purchased from Costco, so I’ll wait to see if it resolves with the next update, and if not, I’ll return/re-buy.

I noticed that the case and Airpods continue to transmit their charge status to my Iphone, whether they are in the case or not. They continue to transmit even when I turn off Bluetooth. I can only imagine that they are sending this via UWB. In any case, it does consume power. Visible in the battery widget

Yes I noticed that but that does disappear after a few hours. The thing is I’m suffering no battery drain. My case has dropped 3% in about 36 hours and I have “find my switched” on which I thought would be a problem but it doesn’t seem to be

Same issue as above, got them last Friday on launch, charged up the case - must have used them for 5-6 hours max during the week and the case was already down to 40%. It should be 80% going by their quote specs (6/30)

Tried monitoring the buds more close, went out for a walk just over an hour, anc on - buds were down to 74% from 100. Looking more like 4hr rated than 5.5/6.

Was in a series of multi hour calls using a single bud with ANC and Transparency off. When I did care to take a peek at the battery, 33% after 4 hours and 13% after 5 hours. Case held up well too. On 5A377.

Open your Pro's near your phone and allow them to connect to Bluetooth. Go to settings/bluetooth/information mark after Airpods Pro. Go down to "find my network" and shut it off...

I too have this problem and more.
got the new airpods pro 2 days ago. Connected them, verified they worked and then fully charged them and later I removed from the charge cable. Next morning I went to use them and case battery reported ~80% charge. I recharged, but they keep draining. I also noticed that sometimes the power widget would show differnet values than whats reported when you open the case and sometimes they don’t show in the widget at all. I also noticed that find my function would find them unless the case was open???
I called support at noon today and had they tried forgetting the pods and then reinstalling them. That didn’t work. they installed a logger to try and find out whats going and then let them just sit for an hour. During that time the case lost 1%. They called me back and retrieved the log files. We then did a full reset of the airpods themselves and tried again with no luck.
In all we were on the phone for nearly 4 hours until his shift ended and he’s going to call back tomorrow.
after his call, I tried again forgetting the device and reconnecting and still cannot use the findmy unless the case is open and one time it even gave me a message
“Place both Beats Fit Pro in
your ears to use noise cancellation“

We don’t own any beats fit pro…. Man these are screwed up.
firmware for buds is 5A377 and 3.64.0 for the case.
