Personally, I do see room for significant improvements:
  • Waterproof
  • Volume control by sliding finger up/down one side
  • FF/RW scrubber by sliding finger up/down other side
  • Batteries that don't lose capacity so quickly in their life
I don't think they are coming this month. Maybe next year.

Not really sure how they have improve the AirPods.

A wireless charging case and that’s it really but even that isn’t much of an improvement.
Multiple size covers with silicone heads for grip where it still sits in the charger, compatible ear loops for athletes, colors, water resistance, W1 chip....i can keep going. I would not say any of the above is asking for a lot after how long now?

I can’t own a pair because they fall from my ears if I don’t walk cautiously. Sure there are covers to buy, but then they don’t fit in the charging case. I’m giving apple till the end of the year to mention something, then I’ll spend my money elsewhere, and I know I’m not alone as far as the fit. I would say 50% of the people I talk to have the same issue with poor fit.

The Airpods is a spectacular product, possibly Apple’s most innovative in recent years.

The ways which I think it can be improved for Airpods 2:

- better battery
- W2 chip (more efficient? better connection?)
- more colour options (man, give me a red colour pair anytime)
- volume controls? Most ppl point out that this is something obviously missing and could be added in, but I’ll wait to see how they can properly implement this. Sliding the finger up and down on one airpod is obvious, but I find that the airpods still does not react to taps or contact as well as I would like them to, and it’ll be hard to fine-tune control volume with that small surface.

The batteries in mine gave up so I pulled the trigger on a new set last month gambling that Apple would not release new AirPods this year. Looks like it was the right decision

Same here. FFS is saying everything. I’ll get mine as soon as I’m back from vacation.

**** that ****.

If you want them, get them now. If they come in Q1 it still plenty of time and I’m so sick of that damn wire.

Duno why i didn't get them sooner.

Yeah wireless is great and they don't fall out of your ears as there are no wires to pull them down.

Pulled the trigger and picked some up from my local Apple Store using the app and paying with Apple Pay. Seriously, they really do know how to make the process slick.

The lack of isolation is a bit of a spinner, but then again so is being completely isolated from your surroundings. Will take a bit of getting used to. Great bits of kit.

Will be using them at work when I need to concentrate and at home as we have sleeping babies in the evening.

All good!
