Airpods At Walmart, BB, Walmart, Etc..?

Just got shipping notification from BB for my order placed yesterday morning. Originally showed shipment by 2/7 and is now expected to be delivered TODAY via OnTrac. SWEEEEEET!
Though, I'd originally placed an order through Apple on launch morning that was to be delivered on or around 1/12 - my card was charged for that this morning and is showing as preparing for shipment on Apple's site, though the delivery date has not changed. I'm assuming it will be coming sooner but I'm left to wonder how it is that I'm able to get an order through BB a week later & receive it so quickly while my Apple order is still weeks out. Seems like really poor planning on their part. Fortunately, I'm just happy to be getting a pair and have better things to be mad about but I can't blame others who might be really bothered for having placed such an early order only to see others much later to the game receiving theirs first.

I have no idea, I would guess maybe best buy had inventory but is only listing a portion at a time on their website.
Able to put in an order at BestBuy just now with 12/30 Delivery date. Definitely beats the Apple delivery date of 01/30 which was placed on Dec 15th.
I guess it's time to cancel the Apple 1/12/2017 order. Just cancelled the Verizon order. I really have to say this is the second time Best Buy has come through for me.

I have a UPS tracking number for delivery for tomorrow. I ordered from BB at 8:55 last night.
They seem to add them around 8-10pm US CST. Try checking then. (It happened the last two days) Good luck!
They're back on Best Buy now (3:10ET). Shows shipping by 2/9, but when I ordered yesterday that was the date, too. They shipped today via Next Day Air.

I refreshed Best Buy and it said I could order instead of sold out. Grabbed a pair we will see what happens
I ordered from bestbuy.com as soon as they added them, I think it was the evening of launch day. My original ship date was 1/12, but they shipped yesterday and I got them today. Very happy with them so far.
Same here. Shipped around noon today. Currently in Fresno, CA with delivery quoted for 12pm - 4pm tomorrow via UPS.
Mine shipped UPS. When I ordered was supposed to be delivered Thursday, UPS says Friday... but at this point we'll go with it

My 1/12 just went to "preparing for shipping" a couple of hours ago, I imagine we will have them early next week.

That's great. My Apple order hasn't changed yet. I decided I would cancel it. When I have my Best Buy order in hand or ear.
I've been reading some of the early user reviews from another thread on macrumors. It seems a lot of people purchased the AirPods with knowing much about them. A lot of complaints about lack of physical controls and needing a internet connection to use Siri. I buy many apple products but I take the time to find out details before I buy or preorder. I guess some people just purchase now and complain later. I see if the product is defective. Then that's a return. You have to do a little homework before you buy.
Did you pay for next day air? BB online gave one shipping option (Standard Feb 9th)
