Airpods At Walmart, BB, Walmart, Etc..?

That interesting, i mentioned to the bestbuy rep that some people in order 'states' were pushed to Feb 2017, but she did not comment on it.

I actually ordered my iPad Pro, Pencil, and Smart Keyboard all from Best Buy last year. Much easier than ordering from Apple or stalking stores. Never thought I'd love Best Buy so much, lol!
Placed my BB order at 6:25pm EST for 12/22 delivery! Been charged and order is preparing. I should have ordered 2 but I didn't think this was real. Apple order for 12/29 still Processing Items

Just ordered from Best Buy to arrive Feb 7th hoping there's another availability surge. Of course, now that I've ordered, there won't be.
I placed an order with Best Buy at around 3:40pm PST today right before it slipped to being back ordered again. My order status shows as preparing and says they will deliver tomorrow with one day shipping!!!
My Best Buy order just went from processing to preparing if that means anything. Est ship date still Feb 7th...
That means it's actually preparing for shipment (being packaged, etc.). You should have it soon!!
Wow, seems like lots of success here. Congrats to those that tried Best Buy and it worked out for them.
Seems like BB has more available than Apple which many are still hoping their orders will process faster than expected. As soon as I get mine, I am cancelling my Apple order for 1/12. Sorry Apple.

For my own mental well-being, I should probably stop trying to find any logic in the way Best Buy is shipping out their stock of AirPods.
No matter how many times I refreshed the page, Best Buy always showed a delivery date of February 7, 2017 for my zip code (38655: Oxford, Mississippi). Like some of you, I also placed an order with Best Buy just in case they ship the AirPods before the order I already have with Apple (still showing delivery by January 12, 2017 on apple.com). I'll update this forum whenever I get new details.
We'll see which order ships first. And for those of you that were able to nab a Best Buy-AirPods delivery for this week, congratulations (I am so jealous)!

After waiting at my Apple Store to find out they had four in stock I gave up hope but decided about an hour ago to just order on BB after reading these comments. My order has moved to processing but still showing the expected to ship date of 7 Feb.
