I felt pain within a few minutes of use when I had the APM for the first few days but after about ten days, no pain at least for an hour. So my head got deformed by the strong arms of the APM?

Yes! I feel the same way about the PS5 3D pulse whatever it is called. As someone that wears glasses, they really hurt after half hour to one hours use. The APM on the other hand, feel great after a lengthy amount of use. Although i did need a “break in” period for them.
the contrary I find the APM terrible with glasses

That’s a shame. Have you had to return yours due to this?
Nope. I wear the headphones first, then spectacles so they are over the cups instead of under them.
it is the worst with my Oakley’s due to the curved temples

to update on my experience.
I ended up getting the APM and they are more comfortable than the MX4 for me. Still the QC35s are more comfortable but the ANC and the audio is better with the APMs in my opinion.
They were fine on my head for 3-4 hours.
I didn't feel the extra weight
I like the metallic feeling and the built quality.

Extremely uncomfortable headphones, massive clamp that’s caused pain around my ears. They cost 750usd in my country(India). Saw several YouTube “reviewers” and must say now “Shame on them”!

Their thoughts/impressions are mere marketing, and I fell for it. Also there’s no return in my country so that’s it.. Guess I need to learn and learn fast that reviews are nothing but massive fraud. It’s the direction the worlds headed in = Bull ****.

The clamping force loosens with time
It’ll never reach the point of being good enough. There’s never a fix for uncomfortable headphones.

What I see a lot of people do is denial in order to to convince themselves; well I tried but couldn’t do it..

Been using mine now for a couple of months, love them super comfy. I have the band sitting a little further back on the top of my head than my other headphones. Listen for 7 hrs plus 3 to 4 days a week.
Comfy my hairy ass, don’t care about political correctness.. you’re just deluding yourself to think they’re comfy.
These are bad for EVERYONE, and I state that unequivocally, I suppose truth just bites

Tried it for two days. I feel pain on the left hand side of my skull. It looks like the upper and upper-front of the left cup is pushing against my skull too much. Anybody else has this issue? What can I do to avoid this?
Me! Nothing you can do, these are just bad headphones, period

I’m sorry that it doesn’t fit your head comfortably, but they did loosen out very well for me. You can pretend that all of us are in denial; it’s no skin off our backs. You have the right to be frustrated on your own account that it didn’t work out for you, but being so bitter towards the people it did work out for will hardly help your situation in any manner, nor will it lessen our enjoyment of these cans.

That is why you should try a product first. For me they are super comfortable and I wear them all day.

Apple AirPods Max

I have had my Apple AirPods Max for almost a year now, I simply cannot believe why and how I spent so much money on this piece of tech, not mentioning the super expensive accessories that I also purchased.

The LEVEL OF DISCOMFORT caused by using the Apple AirPods Max is simply unacceptable and ridiculous! After only 30 minutes of use, I start feeling pain around both of my ears caused by the pressure of the headphones.

It literally starts to ache around both of my ears and even worse around the two sides of my head where the edges of the ear cups rest on my head. After only half an hour of use, I am forced to take off the headphones for at least half an hour, before I can put them on again.

Apple’s usual feedback on this issue is to refer its customers to the guidelines below, I’ve read through it many times and tried a bunch of tricks and adjustments, nothing helped, at least in my case, it is unfortunately how the headphones are designed and built.. :/

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211158

If only Apple offered return of the product, I would have returned it without a second thought!

It is indeed a nice thought, but I can’t imagine Apple would actually bother to do anything about this, even to gain customer satisfaction.

I love Apple and I am a loyal user of almost all things Apple I have need for, but when it came to the (super expensive) Apple AirPods Max, I would have to say that I am extremely disappointed and regret very much that I even thought of buying it, guess I trusted Apple too much..

I guess my point is, be careful, even if it is an Apple product!

After a full year of personal use, I do not recommend anyone the Apple AirPods Max.

Although, if you are actually considering it, then do your research and best to try out the Apple AirPods Max before purchasing it, speaking as a long time loyal Apple user, I do not at all recommend anyone buying the Apple AirPods Max.

Be critical, there are at least five alternatives out there which are better than the Apple AirPods Max, almost regardless of how you would measure and compare.

There are far better alternatives to the Apple AirPods Max available out there, right now, which are, equally Apple ecosystem friendly, and importantly, PRICED much more DECENTLY!

I only have a problem with the weight when lying down because they slip off the back of my head, otherwise I can wear them all day with transparency mode enabled and barely register they're on my head (which is exactly what I was hoping for). I've never had an issue with clamping force, in fact I think the force is perfect for keeping them secure when standing up and moving around (I love wearing these when cooking for example).

My biggest issue is the cups feel too insulated which make my ears hot and form condensation quickly. If the environment is anywhere near slightly 'warm' or my body gets slightly too warm then I have to take them off (I NEVER use these for exercise, only AirPods Pro).

Many on here cry out "but all headphones produce condensation!" but that's about as useful as saying all cars produce emissions. There is a clear distinction between a modded v8 truck with no cat vs. a prius. Such is the case with AirPods Max, I've never owned or tried another headphone that gets as hot and sweaty.

they gave you two weeks. APM are so horrible that after 30 minutes they're unbearable but people can't tell to return them within 2 weeks, pretty amazing...

APM are not perfect for me, but I have never had a problem with them feeling tight. If I did I would be smart enough to return them at the start

You should have tried them in the store.

Got mine this past Sunday, 8/14. They're pretty heavy and the clamping against the sides of my head doesn't feel too good. I'm afraid these may be going back. I have several more days to see if I get used to it before I have to fish or cut bait.

I'd definitely give it a few more days. I had the same impression and actually started the return process but after giving it a few days, no issues. Probably about a week of wearing it before they "broke in", for me.

I will give it some more time. I also read where they can be stretched out a bit to ease the clamping sensation against the side of the head. I tried that a bit today and it seemed to help.
