My Pros passed just fine for months and then the right pod started failing the test a few weeks ago with any ear tip size but otherwise sounded fine. Apple support replaced it.
If you're convinced the size of your ear tips is correct, but you still get a bad test result, try pushing the tips into your ears more during a test. If you then get good test results. Try to suck on the speaker side or each bud and see if you get better results
After about a month of getting the APPs the right earbud started to fail the test regardless of the earth used. A week later the left one followed. Apple Support replaced both, and everything was fine for a month and a half or so. Now both earbuds fail the test. I'm gonna have them replaced next time I visit Apple Store. I wonder what's causing this.
The first Customer Care Specialist was trying to pull the same trick on me. I insisted on escalating my case to a senior advisor, as it's not just the APPs failing the test, the sound quality becomes shallow and the bass is non-existent. Thankfully, I got a very nice person on the line who was able to understand my issue and replaced both buds.
same here when I got the Foam Masters Premium Memory Foam Ear Tips, the right bud kept failing the seal test until I watched this russian guy so I sucked on ‘em. I am green now R/L
Me, writing from Italy, original tips (small) on Airpods Pro just failing test but sounds great. try next days to ask people at local Apple Store and eventually get a Genius... will put here results.
