Just returned mine after a week or so of use. Coming from gen 2 AirPods. Pretty underwhelming, I wanted to love them but the call quality was terrible, at least with my pair. Also, I tried every tip included for long periods and I could not for the life of me get a comfortable fit, ears would get fatigued after an hour or so. Sound quality was also better but not enough to warrant the price difference. I switched back to gen 2 and I am much happier.

I have compared both AirPods 2 and Pros side by side at an Apple store and liked AirPods 2 better for my use (calls and listening to things in a mostly quiet environment). AirPods 2 just sounded louder and crispier and fit my ears better, compared to the Pros. Since everyone’s ears are different, I would say try them on and see for yourselves, as it is hard to go by their tech specs alone.

I will be when Apple delivers them in a few weeks time.

My main issue with AP1 is that they slip out of my ears too easily, even when putting them in initially. Also I dropped my right one in my toilet and its gone 80% quieter than the left one. I think I could have bought a single one, but a buddy works at Apple so I got some money off them.

I have Bose NC-700 too, which are my primary daily drivers I use on my work PC, my iPhone when travelling (work, holiday) or on my MBP when watching a long video.

My main reason for AP in general are for the gym. Another issue I had, and the reason for me buying the APP, is if I am going out at night, or generally don't want to carry big headphone case I can just carry my pods. Also the music share means when I am travelling with my Mrs, we can listen to the same thing.
