Yeah for $199 I will likely try them out. They look better, sound better than the AirPods. The reviews all say they have good connectivity even with no W1 chip. They have volume buttons and the heart rate feature. The only downside appears to be battery life, but I can live with that.

Have you checked out Jabra's update? I am trying to get the Find my jabra to work.. just wanted to see if it works for you....

Edit - I got it to work by turning on my location settings and it is awesome.. I love that I can look and find out where I last left my jabras

Works for me too! Such a useful update. I am not sure if it tracks the earbuds or the case or both?

-----------

So I finally was able to take the Airpods out for a trail run today. It was raining and snowy the last 2 days so I had to use my Dash and Jabra Elite Sport for those runs. Temps were in the 30s and clear.

The trail (technical rolling trail with lots of ups and downs) was icy slick and muddy, the Airpods would have been soaked if it fell to the ground..but to my surprise they stayed put.

They were very comfortable to wear and I was able to use both ears buds since they let in ambient sounds (no seal). I had to wear my hood for part of the run since the temps were in the 30s and the Airpods remained intact and did not pop out of place. I had to answer a call while running and I guess I came through pretty clearly. Tried to use Siri a few times but was unsuccessful..reception is poor in the wilderness. There was also greater than 5 second delay while Siri was trying to figure things out. So I was not able to skip any songs using Siri for the duration of my 5.3 mile trail run. My phone was in the front pocket of my hydration vest so I was able to adjust the volume as needed without taking my phone out, had to though to skip a song.
Connection was solid throughout.

I didn't think I could even use the Airpods for trail running but I was proven wrong today. Will it replace my Dash or Elite Sport? Probably not, but will be part of the rotation.

It tracks the right earpiece. I do like the update.

I am have been trying to decide which earphones to return - I have been such a proponent of the jabras... but I am starting to really like the AirPods... they are more comfortable than the jabras and I am loving the battery life. Since I really do not the fitness app... I might actually return the jabras.

I pulled the trigger and bought the Jabra elite sport for pickup at Best Buy this afternoon. I will try both for awhile and likely return one.
[doublepost=1483014972][/doublepost]FYI, I just noticed that the Bragi Dash are currently $249 on Amazon currently, making them price competitive.

I bought the Jabra Elite Sports earlier this week when they went on sale, but kept them in the box while I waited for the AirPods. The AirPods arrived yesterday!
I had also pre-ordered "The Headphone" (daft name), but learned that Bragi cancelled the order in September, a few days after charging my card (fortunately, they credited me when they cancelled). Apparently, a script that was supposed to notify me of the cancellation failed. The same happened with the original Dash so I've given up on Bragi (until they're on sale for $120 or less at BB).
Anyway, back to the AirPods. I definitely dig the AirPods for all the reasons described in the previous posts, but they did fall out when I bent over to pick up a charge cable. I imagine the same would happen while picking up weights at the gym. The concha of my ear is simply too capacious to keep AirPods during certain activities. This seems to relegate the AirPods to home and office use (unless OHM redesigns their SPRNG clip to fit the AirPods), which is totally fine.
Like the OP, I hope to try the Jabras on a winter trail run soon (should get some nice snow today). Perhaps with my massive conchas, I won't experience the fatigue and discomfort felt by others.

Yeah right. I wish. Its got 3.5 stars on Amazon....which is terrible...and that's with their fake reviews factored in. I had a pair of Braghi Dash over the summer and they were terrible and grossly overpriced. Connectivity was a major problem. Sound was another major problem. AirPods make Braghi Dash sound terrible in comparison. I'm sorry but they were just so bad. I wanted to like them. They were so bad I not only returned them but I wrote a review on Amazon.

I am curious to hear what you think about both of them!

My two posts got merged. It's the Jabras I am trying out, not the Bragis. The connectivity issues ruled them out for me too, plus the giant carry case. But I wanted to point out that the Bragis are in sale for whoever was interested in those.

Eh....picked up the Jabras and I can't get them to fit correctly. I had a lot of trouble getting the heart rate function to work properly and when I did, the readings were really off. Either that or my watch has been off this whole time. I need them to make a smaller pair. I was on my elliptical and barely breaking a sweat and getting 180bpm, which isn't right. My watch was registering 120bps at the same time. The music quality is decent though but to my ears not remarkable better than the Airpods.

Going back, and I will keep the Airpods for home, office use. I am still searching for a solution for Fitness. I have a cheap pair of AYL wireless that are adequate.

Just purchased the Jabras today on Amazon for 169 since I can't find the Airpods. I'm sure they will be better than my Powerbeats2.

I currently own the Jabra elite sport and picking up a pair of AirPods tomorrow so will post a comparison. The sound on the Jabra's can't really be faulted in my opinion and I'm quite fussy.

Pls check Airpods and give your feedback. Specially on sound quality...
I want to buy either Airpods or elite sport..

Were they really only $169? That's an amazing price and it must have been a very short window. That happens on Amazon a lot. They're $249 at Amazon now and BB is now also $249. I'm gonna wait until a deal shows up somewhere.

This sounds like my experience before I was able to get a good fit. Tried those sleeves and tips that came with the Jabras first and the sound was dreadful. They would also randomly pop out of my ears. Horrific.
Have you tried it without the tips or sleeves? Totally different though once I figured out the right fit for me was just using them out of the box.. no tips no earwings, sound quality went from a 2/10 to 8-9/10.

It tracks the right earpiece. I do like the update.

Good to know, i usually use the Right earbud.

Okay i just opened the app and it looks like it tracks both the left and right? I hope i did not lose one ear bud on the trail. Lol!

Airpods are certainly more comfortable. Which one did you end up keeping?

--------------------------

We have been getting nice chilly (30s) wet snowy weather out here this past week so I've been able to have a better idea which of the 3 to take for rainy/snowy trail runs. Ended up being the Jabras.
I know there are videos of the Airpods being run in the washing machine but I would rather not take a chance on using them when it's raining. The Dashs touch controls were so sensitive that when i wear my Trino beanie (with earflaps) it would initiate pairing mode. If it were a clear day with no chance of rain the playing field will be more even but for rainy, snowy trail runs it will always be the Jabras.

Yep and I just received the headphones today. They're pretty awesome.
Maybe it was a fluke or one of those New Year's Day sales?
