AirPods... Where Did You Purchase From?

Got mine last Friday from a local target during tax free weekend here in fla and 5% off target red card linked to my checking account. 151 out the door.

Bought from Apple on first day of release and got it 2 days later, then Verizon and AT&T. Never too many to have. I love AirPods and it is the best Apple innovation in 2016.
 
First pair: Best Buy Online back in December. They arrived before Christmas.

Second pair: Best Buy Online on Thursday. They'll be here sometime this weekend.
 
It appears retailers are finally gathering more stock on a regular basis. Good to hear.
 
ordered online from local apple store--site said not till sept. 11 however I went ahead and clicked "Buy" and the option came up--"Pick up at store'--bingo moments later gor message come pick up--and I did--
 
I ordered a pair from Best Buy as a gift for my brother on Monday 8/14/2017 and it was in his hands on 8/16/2017.
 
I ordered 2 pairs on July 20th. One from Best Buy and one from Apple.
  • Best Buy Airpods were delivered on July 28th
    • 8 days
  • Airpods ordered from Apple still have not arrived. Although this morning, I got an expected delivery notification for September 1st
    • 43 days
Absolutely disgusted with Apple's shipping time. They are clearly prioritizing their inventory for vendors over the direct-to-customer sales.

Maybe the vendors ordered in bulk before these customer orders? Not defending Apple, just wondering if BB ordered in bulk initially, and the orders were filled over time. Maybe they are finally finishing the initial bulk vendor orders, once these are complete, I'll bet the wait times from Apple and vendors will be similar.
 
I had an order with Apple.com to be delivered in mid-September, but found stock at a local Best Buy.
Purchased from BB yesterday and canceled my Apple order.
