I just tested on my iPhone and there is virtually no delay, certainly not 6s or so. No Apple Music of any kind, including iTunes Match.
The issue only happens if you search and tap on an album, it doesn’t happen if you tap an album from the “library” tab.

Yes, I did exactly that and I don’t experience that 6s delay. I also did taping albums from album view and nothing special happens. Here is a clip.

I do turn off Apple Music completely so maybe that’s what’s different as I have no song from Apple Music (not even downloaded ones). Maybe Apple is trying to verify license and such but it takes too long.

Is this fixed in 14.6 beta 3? I'm staying on beta 1 because it was fixed then, but broke again in beta 2.

Edit: Yes, it’s fixed in beta 3!!!

Just updated to 14.6 beta 3 and can confirm this! I also have the following settings under Settings > Music. Let's hope they don't break it again! 😬

I just updated to 14.6 and the lag in albums opening is gone in search view. However it's still ay faster for the results to appear when you search in album or artist view. There it's instant, whereas in the search mode, it takes a long time before the results appear. It's been like this since iOS14 I think

I'm not following this. It sounds like you're saying two contradicting things: the lag is gone and it takes a long time. I've just tried on my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 14.6 and there is no perceivable difference when clicking on search results from the entire library search or search results from Albums or Artists. Perhaps you could upload a screen recording? Here's mine demonstrating the speed being the same using either search method:

The wording of my post might have been a bit confusing. So basically my phone acts like yours but when I use the search (not in albums) it takes like 10-20 seconds for the search results to show up. Then when they have showed up, clicking the album is fast like in album search.

Hmm. That's odd. Wonder why my search results would appear instantly on my phone (regardless of how I search) but not on yours when you perform library-wide search? I wonder if this has something to do with Apple Music? I don't use Apple Music at all and have "Show Apple Music" disabled in settings (see my earlier post here). Might be worth checking into.

Yes it’s been like this for a while and I thought it was a common bug but seems its just my phone. I also don’t use Apple Music but I do use iTunes Match so maybe that could be a factor. I just checked on my iPad and it’s the same there.
