I've had a chance to look at some more MBPs. I finally realize that my MBP is within spec for a SAMSUNG display. I took mine to the store and it matches the 2 other Samsung displays at the store. This made me feel good and bad. The good is that at least Samsung is consistent with themselves. The bad is that they all seem to have yellow. Now as far as the LG machines, I did notice that they do NOT have the yellow.
Let me change my statement from all MBPs have yellow to all Samsung MBPs have a yellow at the bottom. It is indeed very subtle and the average joe may not notice but it's there if you look hard enough. take two safari browsers and put the address bar of the one at the very top and the address bar of the second at the very bottom.
Now that I know that I have a machine that's within spec, what should I do. I do want a LG but don't know if it's worth it. I did like the warmer tones of the Samsung. I suppose the LG can be calibrated to be warmer? Also, I think I saw a slight uneven lighting on one of the LGs. The other one was pretty much perfect.
If I return it, I may get another Samsung with the same thing as what I have now. I may get something worse since mine is not that bad. I also have to wait another two weeks and it's a hassle for something that may not be resolved in the end. What should I do?
