All alone at Best Buy parking lot.

Well Im over in NRH Texas and not a sole in site. Thought atleast one person would be here but I was wrong. Im here to get my Bro and Dad an Ipad along with accessories for mine being delivered by brown man today...Boy they are going to owe me big. My dad is over 60 but loves macs and bro has drum gig in am. I have done this time and time again w8ing for opening so no big deal. Im surfing on my WYFI again and going to watch some movies on Uwatch and get caught up on work....Come join me if in the area:):D
 
I thought I read that only 1 iPad per customer from Best Buy, no?

I don't know how you guys do it, I would fall asleep in the car...probably couldn't make it much past 2:30 - 3:00.
 
There's one other guy here in Grapevine now.. been slow so far!

I used an iPad while we were setting it up at my Best Buy, and it was absolutely amazing. The guys that had doubted/trash talked it before we opened the demo unit could say nothing but "Wow, just look at that screen!" when we were using it.
 
I'm jealous, I've never been to an Apple product launch (Well, except for Leopard) before. Hopefully when I get my car I'll be able to go to the iPhone HD launch in June/July.

Dang Y'all are getting me worried!!!

I'm in Forney and was planning to be in Mesquite maybe 30min early (8:30) when they open Bestbuy.

I called about 6 different Bestbuy's Friday night to dig for info about how many they would have per store and no one would let the cat out of the bag.

I heard there is 15 per store anyne know any solid info?

your only going to be able to buy 1 @ bestbuy
 
Thought about going to Grapevine store but more money out that way so kinda figured be busy there...Still no one here and going to hang in car till someone comes up...Im going to have my nephew or daughter come hang with me later and then she will buy one and so will I....I figure she can pay cash for hers/his and the buy another.

W8ing sucks for sure, but I have plenty to do...Photographer in the area and tons of pics to edit and get ready. ANother reason buying the Ipad to have on location and show clients photos and also keep track of online calender and bus software. Much easier than carry 17 inch mac book pro

I believe the 15 per store is about right. Never know. My wife works for analyst company and has really good sources who stated approx 15 per store as of last week.

The number varies depending on the size of the store. Stores will receive anywhere from 15 total (5 of each model) to 90 total (30 of each model)

Wow small world, while i am in Japan now, I used to work at that best buy in grapevine. I was on the opening team back in.....ummmm 2000ish?

Got fired along with about 10 others right before the shrink-checks (think thats what its called), found out about a year later that all the managers got fired for fixing the checks so that they would get a "bonus" shrink check.

anyways I hope to be on my way back to DFW, getting stationed at carswell AFB as there is a hand full of Marines there.

Wish i was in line with ya!

Hey thats Funny!!! I was also thinking about the money issue. Wish we had a Bestbuy here in Forney LOL.

I remember back when Walmart released that HDDVD player special. I ran down to my Walmart all worried about the lines and there was nobody there but crickets chirping HAHA and a stack of HDDVD players 10 feet high HEHE.

My Dad in Grapevine couldnt find a place without a long line of people and no HDDVD in stock.

Maybe I will go to Terrel instead of Mesquite.

Will pay $625US via paypal if any1s interested. really desperate

That just made me think if there is going to be a lot of people putting it on ebay to make a decent profit. :cool:

NOt my intent but Im sure people will...Heck I even tried to talk my wife into one but she thinks the price will drop in about 4-6 mo and then also a new model will be out by Christmas

Geez it only gets here in less than 30 days. By the time someone airfreights it prolly 2 weeks....

I thought about that since I live less than 5 min away but I bet people start showing up around 530 or 6 maybe...Thought some would be here by now but when I called the store last night saleperson stated hardly anyone had called asking if BB was going to carry them. She stated usually tons of calls if the lines are going to be long.

Oh yea stop by whataburger on the way hahah

Yea I've been checking my local BB too... 7pm last night, 11pm, and 5am this morning.... noone is there yet :rolleyes: going there in around an hour and probably just stay there...
