If you want the features limited and the processor under-clocked, then sounds good.
I got 11 and a half hours of normal use on my 6s plus on one charge. Not low power mode. Pretty awesome battery life.
lol I should have known what to expect here. Look, I'm not asking for you all to WANT the same thing I want. All I'm asking is for Apple to give me the OPTION in the battery settings to always use LP mode, and not to have it turn off automatically.
To address some of the other comments - no, there's nothing wrong with my phone - I have had literally every iPhone model since 1, and all of them leave me disappointed with my battery life. I have to monitor it all day, and even then, by 6 PM it is edging into 20% range. I don't use bluetooth, I do use it to navigate while driving (and that's the only time I charge it). I keep brightness low and all the other good reasonable power saving methods are done properly. I simply use my phone a bit more than the "average" user and I am away from a charger more than most people.
I also don't think it's a crime or something to be ashamed of that I am willing to give up a little CPU and GPU performance (which I'll never notice) in exchange for a phone that actually has the battery left at 8 PM when I want to send a text after a dinner out. I'm also willing to not see emails pop up instantly all day long, since that's just going to contribute to stress for me. All of these things are fair trade-offs for having a battery that lasts me that 16 waking hours (when I can get that 90 minutes on the car charger on a typical day).
And no, I don't want a battery case. I have one of those. It makes my phone DOUBLE the size, if not more. What I DO want is for Apple to drop the obsession with thin, and give me a phone that lasts twice as long. Because making that happen would probably not require any more thickness than what would also be required to make the camera lens flush again. And from what polls I've seen (this one for instance
http://www.cnet.com/news/what-do-you-want-from-apples-iphone-6s-poll/), if you don't agree with me here, you are the weird one, not me.
I don't want to go manually change all my settings to match LP mode because, hello, Apple just created one slider to do all that, and the last thing I want to do is to be changing a bunch of settings manually all the time and then changing them back as needed. All I want is a slider on the battery page that says "automatically go back to full power mode when charged? (On/Off)".
Simple, right?
