Mitthrawnuruodo said:Another issue, not with the MacBook, but rather some really slow developers: Where are the universal flash and flip4mac plug-ins...?!? Now I run Bon Echo (Firefox 2.0) in native mode and Safari through Rosetta to access flash contents...
I know... it's just that it seems a handful of (major) developers are much, much slower that they should be...MacRumorUser said:Yeah this is a problem period, but then it was the same with OS X and the time it took developers to come out with new versions from OS 9....
How are you going to find a notebook that's lighter than the MacBook (which only is less than 200 grams heavier than the 12" iBook G4) that's is cooler without taking a major hit in performance...?!?biocide said:- the weight
2.36 kg is just too much, I want to be able to carry it around as much as I want. The MacBook has a heavy feel.
- the heat
My MacBook got very hot, even on the left side of the keyboard. No big problem, but I still find it irritating to spend that much money on a 'laptop' too hot to place on my lap.

(guess I'm lucky)
Don't you think all new products/models (cars especially) have these teething problems - they'll be all ironed out by now.
So you did well to wait.
Alas, the Macbook's keyboard is a fair bit noisier than that on the iBook or PowerBook. I was hoping to be able to use my Macbook in lecture theatres too, but it isn't really suitable. Sticking with my terrible handwriting for now. Definitely going to be taking it to uni for general work, though...olivia said:yay, this is encouraging... its just been problems everywhere on this board (which i know is reasonable and even foreseeable) but that just made it so hard to remember that it's only a small percentage of the computers and not like....30% of them
my biggest concern is the moo since i'm going to be using the notebook to take notes in class and work in the library and i don't want to be "the girl with that computer"
