In my opinion this thread is nothing else than advertising for MVC.
"flashable" means to me that I can flash it. A few minutes ago I read a post from MVC anywhere stating that he is giving info to people how want to do the flashing by themselves. But to be honest I cant find these info anywhere.

The thread should be called
All the buyable GPUs for MAC Pro
Not misleading and honest!

info on AMD cards that are DIY flash jobs just go on
http://forum.netkas.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=eigg7ff2fjmhv3du1okk18l0d4ntb1fl&board=6.0
or look at
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-5-1-upgrade-guide-sticky-discussion.2099092/

netkas was the place for AMD cards last time i looked but the second link has lots of links to macrumors topics

for nvidia any gtx 6xx and some of the gtx 7xx cards just work out of the box (with no boot display)
i used a gtx 660 and a gtx 770 (not flashed just a pc card) for years on both a 3,1 and a 5,1 (cuda worked fine etc)

the gtx 680 is easy to flash and lots of info about for that

and now most newer AMD cards work out of the box (almost all? just skip vega 64 :p think fury is ok?) RX 560 & RX 580 are recommended by apple even

but if you relay do want to flash a card go to netkas as they (where last time i looked) more in depth in the subject.

and simply dont blame people who sell the cards blame apple for not selling them

edit im using normal PC RX 580 right now with no problems (it's not flashed just normal PC card)

What about a card like the AMD WX7100? My Mac Pro 5,1 (2010) was outfitted with a power supply that I was told can handle the GTX 1080Ti 11GB card no problem. Would the AMD WX7100 work?

I do not blame them for selling the cards. But I do so for making money with knowledge that is partially stolen from a wide community. That's the only reason I will NEVER EVER support in any way.

..and no boot screen.

I need CUDA so an AMD card is no option for me.

ok well if you need boot display and are interested in CUDA a dual GPU setup is an option.
gpu1 to give boot display GT120 or something?
gpu2 Nvidia card with required CUDA suport (GTX1070/1080)
depends on what apps you use, but a valid option.

if you relay want to do it start a new topic if you need help.

or buy a MVC gpu & to be fair he has done the work on custom BIOS & mods so he's not overcharging for what he dose if you need what he provides.

or make your own custom BIOS, it's been talked about and done by a few people (lots of the older ATI cards where done like that)

or use windows.

iv just changed workflow away from CUDA and most new mac apps have moved away from CUDA so it's not as much of a pain as it used to be.

"But hard for most to tell a Kepler Titan (supported) compared to Titan Black (which was NOT supported in the OS last I checked, and is confusingly, not black but silver like the one that IS supported )"
[doublepost=1561463068][/doublepost]you can try flashing it with the Titan bios and if it works send it to MVC for flashing

???

The Card is working pefektly in my Mac Pro BUT w/o bootscreen...

On eBay there are Titan Blacks with bootscreen... so there should be an EFI ROM for that card?!

The answer to this question may give you Dave from MVC or @Spacedust. What is the exact p/n? There are no non-commercial ROM's available AFAIK.

Here are some specs from the flashed cards... (I dont't know what file they used for flashing, and i have no information about any hardware modifications which eventually were made)

GTX TITAN Black:
- Runs on the internal power supply and does not require an additional power supply.
- Special feature is the Double Precision performance of ~ 1700 GFlops! An RTX 2080 Ti only has a performance of 420 GFlops in comparison.
- Apple Bootscreen on all outputs (only on non 4K monitors)
- Dual Link DVI-D (4K @ 30Hz, max 2560x1600 @ 60Hz)
- Dual Link DVI-I (4K @ 30Hz, max 2560x1600 @ 60Hz)
- DMI (4K @ 30Hz, max 1920x1200 @ 60Hz)
- DisplayPort (4K @ 60Hz)

the simple answer is no one here has the rom, if you want it MVC has a service where you can send a GPU to him and he will flash it.
or
you can learn to bios hack and make one DIY
or
live with no bootscreen

I just use my gpu with no bootdisplay and dont have a real problem.

I have 3 GPU's now 2 with bootscreen support
1. I see perfromance increase in some applications
2. I plan to run Debian+KVM with Catalina and PCIE passthrough and Windows KVM with passthrough.(Looking Glass project for the Windows KVM)
