Just like on the iPod app on my 3G where it shows the bluetooth device at the bottom, the same thing was there in Pandora.

So it's going to be nice to play Pandora to the T505 with bluetooth, which then does decent FM to my car stereo, no wires at at all, not even for power. Has 18 hours talk time with FM.

Only thing that really doesn't work is the track skipping options. But puases the audio fine. Pauses phone calls. Don't think it speaks out caller ID phone digits with the iPhone, unless it's disabled. Really haven't had a chance to test it fully out yet. I did charge the unit on my PC with a random usb cable I had from other devices. It only comes with a car charger, so it's nice they used a standard mini usb port.

Here's how you can pick audio devices in Pandora:

The absence of voice control on my jawbone Bluetooth paired with my iPhone drives me crazy!!!

Yeah. I know apple wants to be perfect, but if you are driving, and need to make a call, I'd rather say the name 5 times until it matches a contact than to not be able to call at all, at least not without taking my iPhone out and my eyes off the road as I try to unlock and make the call. With the Google app with decent voice to text, just upsets me they didn't try a system on all iPhones. And even with the new 3GS, is it true you can't even access the voice control through bluetooth, argh. Guess I have a reason to wait again.

Bt3030

I just received my Jabra BT3030 as well and using it with my Shure E500
and a 3G with the new firmware.

Overall it is working out so far, have not made any voice calls yet.

I like the built. The buttons are good size which is good.
The fact that it has mini-USB charging sold me. I don't need yet another
cable/charger for, say the sony's.

The range is good. I can walk 20 ft away and still have a good connection.

However -- I tried to take the chain off and ended up having to remove the clasp to get it off. I don't think I can get the clasp to go back on anymore.

There is a noticeable hiss in the background, making this not the best audio
device for serious listening.

P. K.

Is anyone else annoyed that as soon as your phone connects to an A2DP device it begins playing a random song from it's library? I have it connected to my car (Ford Fusion via Microsoft Sync) and as soon as they auto-pair up the iPhone begins trying to play. It doesn't come out he iPhone speaker and it will only play through the stereo in the car when I select the input to do so, but I'd rather not have my phone waste battery by playing every time I get in the car.

Well

using a Motorala HT820 good sound pause and volume both work no track of course. little bulky but it was free.

I just order a voyager 855 so I could have a all on one type unit it was on sale for $29.99 free ship. link

BTW woot has a sale for today only on the Lubix NC1 unit $19.99 plus $5 shipping http://woot.com/

Plantronics Voyager 855

Read my review of the Plantronics Voyager 855 HERE

I have also reviewed the iSkin Cerulean F1's and Jabra 8010...just search my name for additional posts.

My current preference is the Voyagers which are still in play mode and sounding/working terrific. I have already burned through the first charge, recharged and are still using.

LOVE them and highly recommend!

Just an FYI, it turns out that the iPhone OS 3.0 does support AVRCP, just imperfectly. Here's a link to Apple's support document for supported bluetooth profiles:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

Not that this makes the result any better of course, you still can't skip tracks with a bluetooth device and that sucks. Voice control would also be nice.

Would a Bluetooth headset work with an iPhone 3g for iPod playback?

How have people found the motorola S9 set for running?

I use the Motorolla S9 HD for running and before my first run I thought they were going to fall out of place with a few steps. To my pleasant suprise they stayed in place for the entire 3 mile run. I was able to answer a call as well with no issues. Even after getting pretty sweaty they stayed in place.

Just an updated, I've decided to return the Jabra BT3030's that I bought and am going to give up on wireless headphones for now. The implementation just won't work for me, in addition to the annoyance with not being able to skip tracks I found the audio cut out too often for me to just overlook it.

Hopefully Apple will release a pair of wireless headphones that play nice with the iPhone, until then I'm back to corded headphones.

How do I get a Bluetooth Backbeat 903 to work with skype?

I just got the Altec Lansing BackBeat 903. I got them for $69.99 at frys and I really like them. This is my first time with anything stereo bluetooth. They fit in my pocket when not in use and are light and comfortable to wear.

The sound quality rivals that of the in-box apple headphones and seems to function almost perfectly. sometimes I have trouble with the track playing silently on the phone and not coming through the headset but I think this could just be a bug with 3.0. I also see a bug with voice control and using a aux jack in the car. sometimes the phone does not want to listen through its speaker. I cant pin down exactly what is going on here but it works most of the time.

Hi, I got Altec's Backbeat 903 to pair up with my macbook pro and listen to music, but I have not been able to get them to work with skype calls.
I can hear people but it seems like there were no built-in mic because
people can not hear me... any ideas? has anyone been able to use it? thanks!!

Have you also paired it with a phone? From what I remember I think the backbeat can simultaniously pair with two devices. If so it could be pairing with both and only giving the mic function to the phone. If this sounds like your problem have all devices "forget" the back beat, turn them all off, then turn on the MacBook and re-pair the backbeat to the MacBook only. Apple really is behind in the bluetooth department. I hope you have good luck withthe backbeat, I really like that set.

avx44 Problems

I don't know where else this may be talked about, but I keep having Bluetooth connectivity issues when using the iPhone and my car stereo avx44 from JVC. With my old Blackberry Curve 8320 all I had to due was make sure my phone was on with bluetooth enabled, get in the car turn the car on, wait 30 seconds for the phone to connect and then I could start playing music. This is almost never the case with the iPhone. Most of the time I get an error stating that there is no audio device on my car stereo screen even though the "icons" show that it is connected. If I try to play music it doesn't work; the work around is going into the iPhone settings, general settings, bluetooth settings and selecting connect to AVX-44. Then it will connect after a few minutes, but if I shut off my car and start it again, sometimes it will connect and sometimes it won't especially if I get a call while my car was shut off. Oh and that also sucks that when make a call on my phone while connected to the car via bluetooth, the audio defaultly goes through the phone and not thought he integrated bluetooth calling feature of my radio, was not a problem for my Blackberry. I frankly think the connectivity issue was 10x better on my blackberry rather than the iPhone.

So question is; Is this something that is only happening with my phone and I should go see about getting it replaced or is this a very common issue for the iPhone. Replies would be appreciated.
Thanks

The iPhone is very far behind in the Bluetooth department. I would guess it's the phone. Try rebooting the phone before getting into the car and see if that helps.

I have a Sony BT3200 in my car and it works very well. My phone pairs as a phone and audio device when I get in the car. My only complaints are the mic which is behind the faceplate making it sound muted and hard to hear unless you are talking at the stereo and the bluetooth controls.

As far as I can tell when I have it as an audio player I can't activate voice control, I have to switch to the BT phone part and say what songs I want, then switch inputs back to BT Audio to hear the music. If it had that it would be near perfect as far as bluetooth is considered. Overall not bad for the $100 I paid for it.
